I did not lie. I am not a dis-informer. I was incorrect. It is true that in_the_Middle_East Among Muslims, the left hand is reserved for bodily hygiene and considered unclean. Thus, the right hand should be used for eating. Shaking hands or handing over an item with one's left hand is considered an insult. Therefore, since Gadhaffi was shaking hands with BO with his left hand, it was a high insult. I knew there was significance to the left-handed handshake in Muslim culture, but my reliance on memory was faulty. The truth of that significance is more highly revealing, don't you think?

any culture that routinely eats with their hands considers the left hand unclean. I once witnessed my grandfather in law clear my wife from the table with a backhand because she touched food on her own plate with her left hand, this happened at Tabaco Albay Republic of the Philippines, both were raised roman catholic. heck I lived there so long that I to this day will not accept anything offered from a left hand and I am in no wise muslim.
