ScienceDaily (Sep. 10, 2009) — Researchers at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm have managed to prove that fossils from animals and plants are not necessary for crude oil and natural gas to be generated. The findings are revolutionary since this means, on the one hand, that it will be much easier to find these sources of energy and, on the other hand, that they can be found all over the globe. “Using our research we can even say where oil could be found in Sweden,” says Vladimir Kutcherov, a professor at the Division of Energy Technology at KTH. Together with two research colleagues, Vladimir Kutcherov has simulated the process involving pressure and heat that occurs naturally in the inner layers of the earth, the process that generates hydrocarbon, the primary component in oil and natural gas. According to Vladimir Kutcherov, the findings are a clear indication that the oil supply is not about to end, which researchers and experts in the field have long feared. He adds that there is no way that fossil oil, with the help of gravity or other forces, could have seeped down to a depth of 10.5 kilometers in the state of Texas, for example, which is rich in oil deposits. As Vladimir Kutcherov sees it, this is further proof, alongside his own research findings, of the genesis of these energy sources – that they can be created in other ways than via fossils. This has long been a matter of lively discussion among scientists. “There is no doubt that our research proves that crude oil and natural gas are generated without the involvement of fossils. All types of bedrock can serve as reservoirs of oil,” says Vladimir Kutcherov, who adds that this is true of land areas that have not yet been prospected for these energy sources. But the discovery has more benefits. The degree of accuracy in finding oil is enhanced dramatically – from 20 to 70 percent. Since drilling for oil and natural gas is a very expensive process, the cost picture will be radically altered for petroleum companies, and in the end probably for consumers as well. “The savings will be in the many billions,” says Vladimir Kutcherov. To identify where it is worthwhile to drill for natural gas and oil, Vladimir Kutcherov has used his research to arrive at a new method. It involves dividing the globe into a finely meshed grid. The grid corresponds to fissures, so-called ‘migration channels,’ through underlying layers under the surface of the earth. Wherever these fissures meet, it is suitable to drill. According to Vladimir Kutcherov, these research findings are extremely important, not least as 61 percent of the world’s energy consumption derives from crude oil and natural gas. The next step in this research work will involve more experiments, but above all refining the method will make it easier to find places where it is suitable to drill for oil and natural gas. Vladimir Kutcherov, Anton Kolesnikov, and Alexander Goncharov’s research work was recently published in the scientific journal Nature Geoscience. Poster Comment: Well, golly gee Sgt. and CO2 catastrophe. Exactly. The two are interrelated in that both are profit mechanisms and control mechanisms. Keeping the price of energy high ensures that less will be used - so the anthropogenic CO2 end of the world TAX becomes justified to reduce oil usage in order to conserve, so we don't run out, and to protect the planet from the hyped up non-danger of Glowbull Warming. It's a double whammy. It also reduces the mobility of the population while extracting more of their earnings forcing people to work longer hours to survive. So, you keep them too tired and too busy to think of revolt against the tyranny.

here's how it works... if the price of oil gets out of hand, the big money boys crash the economy to crash demand for oil... well, that will work for a while, until the economy crashes on its own hook from oil shortages... in the meantime, we can badmouth the euro, which causes the value of the dollar to rise, which causes the dollar price of oil to fall. meanwhile, as the big old oilfields are depleting, our PNAC project continues... and the silver bullet for denying peak oil is starting a war with iran, closing hormuz, and blaming iranians for the oil shortages... ...but also meanwhile, the threat of war with iran causes the price of oil to climb... so we can badmouth the euro in hopes that the dollar will rise in value enough to make up for rising oil prices caused by threats to iran and stagnation of production. there will come a point in time when no amount of manipulation and bullshit will disguise the fact that (a) oil is a finite substance, (b) oil production has peaked, (c) we've used up the first easy trillion barrels, (d) the next trillion are gonna be much more expensive to get out of the ground, and (e) we may not be able to afford to get it out of the ground. all of this is the reason the neocons intend to establish global hegemony by grabbing control of oil... this is their last chance to achieve their tikkun olam before oil shortages cripple their military... all of this is the reason the neocons wanted a new pearl harbor to kickstart their project. all of this is the reason their new peal harbor happened soon after they were installed into positions high enough to make it ghappen. and all of that is the reason peak oil must be denied.
Nice mixture of fact and fiction. Did you write it yourself? Yes, oil prices are manipulated. This is done in variety of ways and it is justified by varied means such as planting false data with a patina of pseudo-science to sell it. Take for example "Peak Oil". It provides a wonderful means of creating the illusion that oil is a scarce commodity and growing scarcer. So, of course in order to maintain the illusion any data, no matter how well researched or documented, must be attacked as it is bad for profits. Also oil is a control point. By keeping people dependent on it the flow of profits is maintained and the threat of cut-off is a check on mobility and individual independence of our "Lords and Masters". Also maintaining a high price also limits access since the average individual can only afford to spend so much and so when gas prices are held high it acts as a hidden control on freedom of movement. That is why alternatives are so violently suppressed. Only alternatives that cost more are allowed e.g., Solar and Wind. As well competitors products must be suppressed and restricted. Thus coal fired plants, even with scrubbers, are coming under increasing restriction because they compete with oil and gas at lower cost. Not only that coal is very abundant, but interestingly not as abundant as oil. So, the supply of oil must also be controlled and limited in order to maximize profits - that is the way a monopoly works. The price is maximized at the level that provides the greatest income stream - which may not be the maximum price, but it provides the maximum profit by balancing output versus demand. This is what we studied in economics in understanding how businesses operate to maximize profits. So, of course any information creeping out, particularly well researched studies, that show that oil is NOT scarce, and that there is plentiful supplies waiting to be tapped MUST be attacked. You just can't allow those uppity serfs the opportunity to escape the trap.
why has world oil production been flat since late 2004, despite drilling in two miles of water and miles of rock under that? why has world oil production been flat since late 2004 despite the fact that we're using all these "new" and expensive procedures like fracking? why is the price of oil five times what it was in 2001, before the peak in production? why are the neocons' wars concentrated on areas that produce oil, or could be used as pipeline routes to our greatest rival for oil, china? why is the north polar ice melting?
Why is the sky falling? The answers to all can be summed up in one word: C-O-N-T-R-O-L. Spending a billion or two to maintain the illusion of scarcity is chump change compared to a Trillion or Two in profits. By controlling the known supplies they can be kept throttled and off market thus creating an illusion of scarcity thus creating both a control mechanism and profit mechanism.
in other words, you cant answer any questions that cast doubt on the abiotic oil theory, and you refuse to acknowledge the logic and facts that point to peak oil as the immediate motive for the neocons to stage their new pearl harbor on 9/11.

the AEI and exxon are some of the most prominent deniers of peak oil and global warming... please acknowledge the fact that, if anyone had an accurate estimate of the timing of peak oil, it would have been exxon. please explain why exxon is allied with the AEI, and please explain why poohba hs at the AEI spun off their PNAC project, which admitted it needed a new pearl harbor to get its project started.
