Why, little lady, how would you like a visit from a steroid popping, special ops "mechanic" who can turn your head around so you can watch where your cute little butt has been? These problem solvers were originally designed and built to kill red Guatemalans and Vietnamese commies but they'd be more than happy to rape and kill an American housewife who worships some non existent principle of "free speech". (that goddam internet again. Somebody needs to be killed although we don't know who just yet) And, RickyJ, in 1939 (74 years after the "official cessation of hostilities" Gone With the Wind was released in theaters nationwide. Clark Gable warned that "There isn't one cannon factory in the whole South"., while explaining why the Confederacy had little chance of prevailing over the industrialized "Nawth". (if you'll pardon the goddam expression, Colonel) I'd like nothing better than to believe that The Rothschilds were the puppeteers who manipulated the South into secession. ("Secessionists must be swept away like the Jewes of Old"_Col. James M. Montgomery, Union colonel and "staunch abolitionist who used extreme measures against pro-slavery populations."_wiki as quoted from the film GLORY) But, where is the proof of this unseen hand? It seems plausible but I'd like some evidence if you have it. And, noone222 and GreyLmist, flying the Nawthern victory flag inverted and at half staff would be a good way of signaling your county sheriff (and his SWAT team looking for some real world trigger time) that you're building bombs in your workshops. And, if you have ammo reloading components and a threaded pipe nipple and caps for both ends in your plumbing repair supplies you'll be guilty of "possession of illegal bomb making components". So, you may want to inventory your homes before signaling that you're in need of remedial thought cleansing. (or perhaps transorbital lobotomies with no official record of the procedures as was the case with the very public anti govt Frances Farmer, who failed to respond to "lovingly administered therapeutic experimental drugs and being forced to eat her own feces")
But HD, if I flew the Confederate flag upside down at half staff, it wouldn't look like a distress signal. It would still look right side up. ;)
Right. Of course this isn't true for the Bonnie Blue Flag. In the 1936 novel by Margaret Mitchell and the 1939 film Gone with the Wind, Rhett Butler decides to call his newborn daughter "Bonnie Blue Butler" when Melanie Wilkes remarks that her eyes are "as blue as the Bonnie Blue Flag."
I'm not so sure, HD, that it too wouldn't still look rightside up if flown upside down as a distress signal but it's a fine flag and I'll give it some thought. :) Am also giving some thought to flying the American Civil Flag of Peace in distress mode, maybe:

As I mentioned before, the 60's completely passed the state by because the Delaware State Police (DESTAPO) didn't permit radical long hairs to smoke pot or attend peace rallies or listen to The Moody Dead or...well, you get the idea. In fact if any subject of DUPONT-THE DELAWARE STATE!® attended Woodstock in '69 and the cops found out about it they would jerk all Delaware privileges, including the privilege of working for the mighty Dupont Company, Hercules, or any of the thousands of worldwide companies (e.g. TIME WARNER) incorporated in the state. Anyone found to be in violation of this policy would be flown back to DE on The DESTAPO's jet (the state has its own version of the US MARSHALS' CON AIR) and flogged on Red Hannah before being executed for the crime of poor subjectism. A well trained and therefore responsible subject would wear short hair and work for a chemical giant or auto assembly plant his entire adult life until he died of cancer or retired, whichever came first. And if the company-controlled local courts found that the cancer was not occupation related then a "good Delawarean" wouldn't dream of going off and whining to some higher court. Although DE was a Union state we had soldiers that fought for both sides of the War Of Nawthern Aggression. And, DE was the last state to abolish slavery after the war and upon passage of the 13th amendment which our delegation voted against because it could not be reconciled with "states' rights." (Was this in your school's history books? Of course not. There was room for DE's contribution to The Underground Railroad, I'll wager.) One of the last monuments placed at Gettysburg (a moratorium is now in effect) is from DE honoring the men who fought on both sides. I was at the dedication ceremony which featured Ken Burns who is originally from DE. (As is Robert Crumb but he wasn't invited to speak-Unlike Burns' tender treatment of darkies in his TV series THE CIVIL WAR switchblade toting ghetto blacks are depicted as crows and pickle belching Jews as pigs in the films that Crumb's comic strip inspired such as FRITZ THE CAT, the first animated film in US history to receive an X rating. I wonder why?) Needless to say there were no blacks there. (Someday there will be a law against that many whites meeting without supervision from the People's Non Violent Committee For Racial Equality) In fact they are seldom seen at the park, mainly because no blacks died in the battle and there are no memorials or weepy tourist films about the "evils of slavery". And, blacks have better things to do than honor the 53,000 men who died there to "free the slaves" (so we are told) just as they undoubtedly had more pressing business elsewhere which prevented them from dying along side the whites who supposedly fought to free them so they could marry the soldiers' pretty white daughters. ("I don't care about you bitch, jus' bring me my hairo-ron!") Most of the combatants had never owned slaves, but the rebels were simply trying to prevent Lincoln's legacy of bayonet democracy from becoming reality, which as we all know it certainly has. In fact, in the film GETTYSBURG Jeff Daniels played Colonel Joshua Chamberlain who bravely led a desperate bayonet charge down Little Round Top, forcing the uphill fighting Confederates to surrender. Daniels/Chamberlain asked a Rebel prisoner who owned no slaves why he was fighting and the Reb replied, "..For maa rats." Daniels/Chamberlain couldn't understand the deep Southern accent and the prisoner had to repeat his answer. None of the 20th Maine in the film had those funny New England accents, though. Typical jooshit. In the interest of balance I flagged Ferret to invite him to offer a rebuttal with the understanding that I won't say nuthin' bad about his mama. (Even though his mama so short you can see her feet on her drivers license!)

Funny! The bass player and his flat top home made upright lost it on the last tune! He definitely needs to make (or better yet buy) an arch top string bass. And after Master James Page signed his contract with the Prince of the underworld he went on to play in "the greatest rock & roll band in the world"!
