I have just finished reading a book by Donn de Grand Pre which says that the Global Hawk was responsible for the 9-11 hits on the World Trade Center buildings.

Unlikely. The collapse of building 7 was symmetrical with the building imploding into its own foot print. The only thing that provides that signature is a controlled demolition with explosives planted at key points on the structural members and then detonated in sequence to remove support. Also the building collapsed at a freefall rate of 6.6 seconds from the beginning of the collapse to completion.

It was bombs, but not truck bombs. It had to be some type of demolition explosives, and mostly likely nano-thermites. Although I do not rule out a combination of different types of explosives for specific events. Remember the construction of the building was a strong central core of reinforced steel beams, and yet, if you slow the film down, you can see that, that is where the collapse initiated. In other words the strongest load bearing section of the building was removed and the only way to do that in the manner observed is as a controlled, sequenced, timed, and intentional demolition.

The key to 7 is how the penthouse on top begins to cave first, then the central, not the exterior (where the damage was), column supports.

And that is key to understanding how the building was taken down.

What that tells us is that the central support structure was the first section to be taken out. That it was a symmetrical collapse tells us that it was initiated in 360 degrees and not at one weak point where the failure begins as in a normal structural failure.

So, what we can take from this visual evidence, since the physical evidence was carefully guarded until it was destroyed, is that something was used to massively compromise the entire primary load bearing structure in one simultaneous event which automatically rules out a normal structural failure. The only thing that can create the evidence observed is a controlled demolition.
