Fabricating that tower cost a few Euros. Hell, there was probably 200 man-hours in prepping & painting it, alone.

Oh well, it's work, I guess. In my neighborhood, they're using the excavators to tear down foreclosed houses.

1 man + 1 excavator + 1 hour = 1 house down --- 8:00AM residence, 5:00PM vacant lot

Yeah, WTF?

Wetten das? is dialect for "Was ist denn das?" or "What the heck is that?"

Equipment that's used for building up Europe and China is used for deconstructing our former splendid neighborhoods.

WTF, alright.

I've spent my whole life building things. When I used heavy equipment, it was to create. Watching them crunch up that house across the street in an hour was a sobering experience.

Things are much more easily destroyed than created. I suppose that's what all these wars are about. Much easier to kill than to befriend. You know, those kids in Iran never did anything to me. Or Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Lebanon, Egypt, Gaza, OWS, Waco, Ruby Ridge, Rainbow Farm, etc.

But I'm still paying to kill them. I wonder why that is?

Our fellow citizens no longer think it is their duty to care. They do know who the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks is.

I have entirely lost all respect for them.

The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”
