A former Haskell Police Department officer who was accused of planting a controlled substance in a man's vehicle while on duty has been sentenced to seven years probation. William "Bill" Alexander Glass was an officer with the four-man Police Department since February 2007, said Brandon Anderson, Haskell city administrator. Glass resigned March 2, 2010, just before the city was to administer a lie detector test, Anderson said. A Reporter-News article dated Feb. 9, 2010, said Glass had been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation by the Texas Rangers and the city. Court records show Glass was indicted on charges of fabricating physical evidence — less than 1 gram of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and official oppression Aug. 27, 2010. On Dec. 15, Glass pleaded to a charge of fabricating physical evidence in 39th District Court in Haskell. Joe Edd Boaz, an Anson attorney and the special prosecutor assigned to the case, alleged that Glass planted contraband inside Celestino Orono's vehicle during a traffic stop Dec. 27, 2009. The drugs, read the indictment, were seized as evidence in another criminal investigation. Orono is assigned to the Middleton Unit, a state prison in Abilene, where he is serving time on various criminal charges, including theft and forgery, Poster Comment: So, regarding pigs like this one, since he had crystal meth, a.k.a. meth in this case, but et. al. otherwise, why shouldn't he be charged with possession? I mean prior to "planting" it he was in "possession" of it! Meanwhile, more paid vacation at other peoples' (those that the "hero" terrorizes) expense! .jpg)

this happened in CA too, but in that case they actually admitted it was a long-standing departmentwide policy. seriously they are criminals. People always get offended whenever i refer to cops as pigs, but sorry. the truth hurts.

another point about calling the cops pigs. i know its a hippy type term originating before my time. its also assumed that only leftists call cops pigs.I'm not nor have ever been a hippy or leftist, but i think it is a funny & very appropriate term. :-)

I remember seeing a poster when I was in college mid 70s of a cop in a gas mask. Looked just like a pig.
I recall running the "front door" in California when I worked for IWX. I saw CHP coming at me and he held up his hand in a gesture of "Why are you running so fast." And they talk about people that have done far less and simply minded their own fucking business in much, much worse terms. I've heard some real horror stories about cops in Chicago who were on the take. One of them was bribed by a guy they picked up. He slipped them a $50 and told them, "I'd like you to meet my uncle Ulysses (sp?). They let him out right away. Another cop who busted a bunch of us, they got him for making silencers and selling them to the mob. I simply don't know a better term for people of such morals, or lack thereof, to the extent that pigs are the perfect metaphor for their moral state. Swine!
