Ron Paul furrowed his eyebrows before storming off completely during a CNN interview addressing allegations that he made money and won fame with the help of a sometimes racist series of newsletters back in the 1990s. Paul is the same candidate that many have said has been ignored by the media -- some would say, though, he's not -- but since he's been climbing in the polls and suddenly appears to be a real contender in the Republican primary race, the media's turned up the heat. CNN's Gloria Borger was just starting to grill Paul about the details of his involvement in the racist newsletters, when the candidate stonewalled her. "Why don't you go back and look at what I said yesterday on CNN and what I’ve said for 20-something years. 22 years ago?" Paul said right at the outset. "I didn't write them, I disavow them, that's it." Borger, like a good journalist, pressed on for a few seconds before urging Paul to react to what people are saying about the two-decade old allegations. "These things are pretty incendiary," Borger said. "Because of people like you," Paul snapped back, just before he pulled of his microphone and headed for the door. "I appreciate your answering the questions, and you understand it's our job to ask them," the reporter said, almost apologetically as Paul was leaving. Later, when talking about the incident on air, Situation Room host Wolf Blitzer suggested that Paul "got tired of talking about" the allegations. "He clearly thinks it's irrelevant," Borger told Blitzer. "It’s clearly a question he’d rather not be asked." Poster Comment: Newsletter would have never become an issue had Paul declared unequivocal support for Israeli terrorists stealing land from Palestinians, as has been done by all of the pro-Israel toadies seeking the presidency. The comments in the newsletter took place in 1999. Dr. Paul says the writer said things with which Paul vehemently disagreed, and Paul had no prior knowledge that th...e item was going to be printed in his newsletter. He said discharged the parties responsible, and no-one has contradicted him on his account of what took place. Further, there has been NO recurrence of this in the 12 years since. Since this issue has been repeatedly raised, and repeatedly denied by Paul and his top representatives, Dr. Paul seems to feel, understandably that the media won't let go of this non-issue because it's the only "bottom-of-the-barrel- scraping" that they have, to try to discredit him and his Constitutionalist message. I, and all of his supporters agree with Dr. Paul, and feel unanimously that the establishment and their captive media are scared of this loyal, patriotic, incorruptible man, who has never taken a dime of corporate money in his 30+ year political career. This same media, that is trying to smear Ron Paul, has conveniently ignored all of Gingrich's votes in favor of draconian gun-control laws, his support of the individual health care mandates that are part and parcel of Obamacare, and his support of all the internationalist trade agreements that have caused the export of hundreds of thousands of decent-paying jobs from America, to countries that spit on us at every opportunity. When reading something of this nature in the news, the one rule I tend to observe, is "Consider the Source."

There are a few people that can detect micro-expressions that a person unconsciously makes when they are speaking. There is a group of about 50 of them known in the world. They are more accurate than polygraph tests are. If just one of them detected that Ron Paul was lying here it would be front page news. I believe that if he did write them then he would say so.

We saw the same irritating heel nipping when Michael Kinsley chose to question Davide Duke about rhinoplasty which Duke explained was to correct a breathing problem as a result of trauma, not cosmetic. But so what if it was? Can you imagine Kinsley asking a fellow tribe member about having a joo beak bobbed? Kinsley pursued it until Duke flared up and said, "That's what I expect from a little weasel like you!" Kinsley was pleased with himself of course, having completed the assignment from the Chief Pharisee. Let's not forget that in addition to being a physician Dr. Paul was an United States Air Force Officer and Flight Surgeon, and as a physician and a commissioned officer he certainly learned to hide any disdain if any for those "other people". (No one really likes them but some tolerate them better than others) Paul certainly had the presence of mind and savvy to know that anything he published would be carefully scrutinized. And his entire political career has been about the goal of equality under the law as envisioned by the founders. (The obvious concession to the intractable Southern States notwithstanding) Paul clearly believes that each person should be limited only by his or her abilities and willingness to work hard and sacrifice. Would he intentionally shoot himself in the foot by alienating our less fortunate citizens as well as the intelligentsia who bleed for them high up in their ivory towers in Palm Beach, NYC and Cape Cod? The work was either intentionally sabotaged or, someone with access and no political acumen chose to "free style" in Ron Paul's newsletter. It was the political equivalent of Ted Kennedy announcing that "Welfare would be great if not for all the shiftless Negroes". Even if Ted felt that he'd have never uttered or written something so monumentally stupid. So, when an interviewer repeats a question that has already been explained in detail, confidence is high that there's a frizzy haired non Christian nepotist, likely of Eastern European descent in the background. I believe that if he did write them then he would say so.
