Judging from different videos on the internet, this has been a very popular skit for the past few years. The earliest reference I can find to it is in 2006. Evidently a video of that performance was posted on the internet and from there it was widely imitated and duplicated.

The version that leads this thread is probably the best done. It appears that making a very short person the second on the right is standard, but this one has the (apparent) innovation of making a very tall person the second from the left and of doing the foot-level pop-up signs. The signs are also very well done (another version had the signs in Olde English lettering, which probably challenged the audience).
