Texas Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul is not a racist and is being smeared as one because he is a clear threat to the political establishment, says Nelson Linder, Austin president of the NAACP.
Speaking out against the charges when they first surfaced during the last Republican primary in 2007, Linder said he has personally known Paul for 20 years and heard him speak out against police oppression in minority communities, racial biases in mandatory drug sentencing, and favorably about late civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Knowing Ron Pauls intent, I think he is trying to improve this country but I think also, when you talk about the Constitution and you constantly criticize the federal government versus state I think a lot of folks are going to misconstrue that [....] so I think its very easy for folks who want to to take his position out of context and thats what Im hearing, Linder told talk radio host Alex Jones during an interview on January 13, 2008.
Knowing Ron Paul and having talked to him, I think hes a very fair guy I just think that a lot of folks do not understand the Libertarian platform, he added.
Ive read Ron Pauls whole philosophy, I also understand what hes saying from a political standpoint and why people are attacking him, said Linder.
If you scare the folks that have the money, theyre going to attack you and theyre going to take it out of context, he added.
What hes saying is really really threatening the powers that be and thats what they fear, concluded the NAACP President.
Linder echoed his statements during another interview during the same time, with Texas libertarian radio host Scott Horton.
There are quite a few folks who dont understand the libertarian philosophy, Linder said, adding the ideology is one African-Americans should more open to.
The two-party system has failed America, he said.
I hope that more folks in the other parties develop the courage to join him in addressing that, I think, will decide the fate of this country in the future.

Anyone know how to get any self-procliamed liberals to actually watch this video?
"I am not one of those weak-spirited, sappy Americans who want to be liked by all the people around them. I don’t care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do. The important question is whether they are in a position to do anything about it." - William S Burroughs
White Guilters have no interest in truth, rationality nor Constitutional governance. They hate themselves and they hate the goodness that was America.
Probably not exactly how I would've worded it, but that about sums it up.
Godfrey Smith: Mike, I wouldn't worry. Prosperity is just around the corner. Mike Flaherty: Yeah, it's been there a long time. I wish I knew which corner. My Man Godfrey (1936 2011)

There is LOTS of truth in that statement. Too bad so many Americans are buying spin and not educating themselves as to the truth of what is being done to this country and by whom.
Stick around, Phant, you wouldn't want to miss out on your second world war or second prez assassination.
My mother's 86 and on her second depression. She may get the trifecta.

I'll hang as long as my Maker allows. Until that time arrives, I'm gonna make as much noise as possible.
As for the next world war and an assassination, I have been trying to get someone to show me how to use an AK 47 or Uzi ... and then I could get rid of a bunch of D.C. Congressional criminals as my last hurrah. Maybe even throw in a flop-eared POTUS for shits and giggles!!!
"Believe nothing merely because you have been told it. Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings - that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide. ~ Gautama Siddhartha The Buddha
