My niece from Taiwan sent me one of their videos. They are a Korean K Pop group. They are as cute as a bugs ear. I've become a fan of a girl group in my old age. The Korean music scene is reminiscent of America in the 50s. As Brian Wilson said, "for reality, it's not for me and it makes me laugh, for Fantasy World and Disney Girls, I'm coming back"

No, she posts videos from the Orient on facebook. Apparently, Korea is the hub of popular music in that part of the world.

My wife of 20 years is Korean and my 11 year old daughter is into K Pop. When I played the video for her she was like, "duh dad, that's f(x)." She knows all about f(x) (the name of the band). According to my daughter two of the girls are not Korean but are Chinese while a third is Korean by heritage but was born and raised in San Francisco. In Korea bands are formed by the music companies, much the same way that Disney and Nicolodian create bands for their TV shows.

You are correct sir. Amber, the genderbender and rapper, is Taiwanese American while Victoria who did the gymnastics, is a 10 year resident of the Bejing Ballet Academy. I've also become a fan of SHINee, a boy band who can harmonize like the Beach Boys and dance like the Jacksons. I'm sure your daughter is familiar with them as well....

She says she's heard of them but her favorite boy band is SS501. She has a crush on Kim Hyun Joong, who she first seen on a Korean TV series called Boys Over Flowers. That show is what actually led her to K Pop. She's also a big fan of T-Max, another boy band.
I'm a Led Zeppelin kind of guy so I'm afraid I can't relate to any of them, but then I could never relate to my dads Eddy Arnold or Buck Owens either.

For those who don't speak or understand the language, the girls are detailing the difficulties of "30 years in a training bra".
