The teenager whose yearbook photo was rejected for being too revealing insists her picture is 'artistic' and will continue campaigning to get one of her modelling shots included - even if it means paying $300 Sydney Spies, 18, from Durango, Colorado, wants to be a model, and when yearbook officials told the class to submit a picture that best represented themselves, she wanted to reflect that.
But the photograph - of Sydney posing provocatively in a black shawl and short yellow skirt - was deemed too racy and banned from being used.
