Health See other Health Articles Title: Death by Biopsy For the last eight years I have been advising men not to have a prostate biopsy. My argument in short has been that puncturing the prostate cavity will simply allow prostate cells (if they are present in the prostate) to migrate through the body and that unless your immune system is high, the result can be metastasis. This process is called needle track seeding. There have been many studies about this phenomenon in breast biopsy, liver biopsy and prostate biopsy. The consensus is that the risk can be as high as 5%. References: 1. Moul, J.W., Bauer, J.J., Scrivastava, S., Colon, E., Ho, C.K., Sesterhenn, I.A., etal.: Perineal seeding of prostate cancer as the only evidence of clinical recurrence 14 years after needle biopsy and radical prostatectomy: molecular correlation. Bastacky, S.S., Walsh, P.C., Epstein, J.I.: Needle biopsy associated tumor tracking of adenocarcinoma of the prostate. Journal of Urology, 145: 1003, 1991 The point is that as long as you contain the cancer within the prostate envelope, which is in the case of about 97% of men with prostate cancer, you can live with the prostate cancer for 20, 30 or even 40 years and are most likely die of something else. Metastatic prostate cancer is however a very different situation and most men who die of prostate cancer die as a result of metastasis. My argument has also been that since prostate cancer is very slow to develop in the majority of cases, there is time to take natural precautions that will slow down the process of the cancer. One starts by ceasing those habits that have encouraged the prostate cancer to develop in the first place and one continues by making changes to ones diet and taking supplements and doing more exercise to actually reverse those factors that encourage the development of prostate cancer. There are, of course a whole bunch of other reasons to avoid biopsy. The risk of spreading prostate cancer by metastasis is not the only health risk. Here is a full list of the other potential damage that can occur as a result of a biopsy. Septicemia which is a severe infection of the blood which gets worse rapidly until septic shock is produced and is potentially deadly. It can cause circulatory problems, kidney failure, abdominal lung, bone, and neurological complications. Infections transmitted such as hepatitis and AIDS as well as abbesses in the punctured area and urinary infections. Hemorrhages and hematomas, blood in the urine, abundant bleeding from the anus and in the semen. Arteriovenous Fistula Tumor dissemination as cancer cells are released and travel through the blood Bladder perforation Urinary obstruction, caused by inflammation as a result of the biopsy Severe pain Strokes (I knew of this from several men who did not follow my advice and had a biopsy) Perineum abscesses, which may appear later (2 months or more) Erectile dysfunction sexual relations deteriorate or become more difficult. (I get constant reports of this) Loss of desire and reduced sexual activity which may be permanent. (I get constant reports of this) Many of these consequences can actually be life- threatening. But there is another element. And that is that needles puncturing the prostate invariably causes and inflammation of the prostate. Research at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine strongly suggests that inflammation associated with the progression of tumors actually plays a key role in the metastasis of prostate cancer. The research, appearing online March 19 in advance of publication in the journal Nature, identifies a mechanism which triggers metastasis, which is the spread of cancer in late stages of prostate cancer development. The findings by Michael Karin, Ph.D., professor of pharmacology in UCSDs Laboratory of Gene Regulation and Signal Transduction, and colleagues may help solve the puzzle of why it takes so long for cancer to metastasize, as well as what causes it to do so. Our findings suggest that promoting inflammation of the cancerous tissue for instance, by performing prostate biopsies may, ironically, hasten progression of metastasis, said Karin. We have shown that proteins produced by inflammatory cells are the smoking gun behind prostate cancer metastasis. No effective treatments are available for metastatic disease, according to Steven L. Gonias, M.D., Ph.D., professor and chair of the UCSD Department of Pathology, a study investigator. So clearly, there are potential dangers and downsides in having a prostate biopsy. But my argument continues with another important factor to consider. All the studies that I have read show that not a single one of the conventional medical treatments for prostate cancer actually lengthen your life expectancy by even one day. Doctors may well find all kinds of ways to measure the effectiveness of their treatments, but they will assiduously avoid any comparison between your life expectancy if you have their treatment and your life expectancy if you do not have their treatment. And that is because the bottom line is that the main reason you might consider invasive treatments that substantially reduce the quality of your life is that you hope it will extend your life. And the evidence is very strong that it does not. So my argument continues, if the results of the biopsy cannot recommend a treatment that will extend your life, why go through the pain and the dangers associated with a biopsy? I have just given you a catalogue of reasons why you should avoid biopsy. You would assume that urologists who have spent many years studying the prostate would be only too aware of all these very good reasons not to have a biopsy. So why do they recommend biopsy? Well part of the reason might be that prostate biopsy contributes several billion dollars to doctors revenues. But there is another reason. No doctor would ever recommend AGAINST a biopsy - the doctor must be safe or he can lose his medical license and perhaps millions of dollars in a malpractice lawsuit. So, he tells you, "You need a biopsy, immediately. They are safe and painless. They are covered by your insurance. I can do this right now". But that is not a good reason for you to have a prostate biopsy. If you are concerned to actually know for sure whether or not you to have prostate cancer, I can recommend a unique non-invasive technology that is offered by a Professor of urology that I have partnered with, is cheaper than a prostate biopsy, it is more accurate than a prostate biopsy, and best of all it will do you no harm. Email me if you want to know about that. As there is considerable evidence that making changes to your diet and taking supplements will substantially alter your bodies ability to resist disease, including cancer, that is the route I recommend and you do not need to have a biopsy for that. If you are not already taking my total health supplement, you may wish to consider doing so. If you buy three bottles of my total health, you will also receive a free copy of my guide "all about the prostate" which normally sells for $49 including shipping. https://www.bensprostate.com/total-health Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top Page Up Full Thread Page Down Bottom/Latest

The most dangerous thing a person can do in this country is go to a doctor. Doctors killed my father at 49 by treating a heart problem as indigestion. Doctors then killed my step-father by giving him liver cancer with all their poison pills and shots treating him for "jungle rot" when he actually had an allergy to chlorine in the water. I fixed the chlorine problem in the water with whole-house carbon block filtration and KDF filters in the showers, but it was too late. My neighbor, who is in his early 40s, twisted his knee and it was sore. I told him to wear a knee brace and take it easy for a couple of months, but no, he had to see a doctor who did MRIs (wrong 95% of the time), who told him if they operate, he'll be good as new in a couple of weeks. I told him not to let those butchers cut on him or he'll never walk unassisted again, wear a knee brace and let your knee heal. So, off to the kosher butcher shop he went. This was almost a year ago. The muscles that control his leg are atrophying and dying. He cannot walk without a motorized knee brace, and even with that, he has the mobility of a 90 year old. He's going to lose that leg soon as the condition worsens. People just never learn. Commandment One of The New judeo Century in Amerikka: Thou shalt never allow ANY benefit to the citizens. do a search on Prolotherapy. i have heard from a significant number of people who have had it done with miraculous results. it could be just what is needed for your neighbor. i'm actually going to do it on my neck beginning next week.
btw, sn acquaintances, 41 yrs old, had the same knee condition as your neighbor--atrophy, etc, but he didn't do surgery. after the Prolotherapy, he's 100%.
