I need to look this up, but IIRC widow venom is neurotoxic and doesn't create this sort of injury. This might be a recluse bite. They create ulcerations that can take a long time to heal. A grandparent was bitten by one.

That looks like a hobo spider bite too. I have a large scar on my arm from a bite from one. It took forever to heal. It took quite a chunk out of my forearm. It didn't do anything more lasting than making a good scar though.
