There is a gathering that most people either out of ignorance forgot about or don't want to talk about. It's call a con-con or Constitutional Convention. Now you may ask, what is a con-con for? Good question, if congress can just willy nilly negate our constitutional rights with the NDAA then what in hell did we ever need a con-con for? Originally and under Constitutional law the only way you can change the "supreme law of the land" is by having a Constitutional convention where the member states get together to alter the constitution.
No one in the media is questioning the ability of congress to change the "supreme law of the land" without a constitutional convention. Also there is a clause in the constitution for traitors or acts of treason and it explicitly says that suspected traitors must be tried in a civilian court with a jury of their peers. The founding fathers knew that down through history that governments used labels of treason to strip citizens of their rights. They included this treason clause in our constitution to prevent abuses by government
