He's truly a class act. To take on the demons in D.C. at his age is a monumental feat for which he should be eternally remembered.
Long live Ron Paul !
EDIT: I felt compelled to say that Mr. Paul is a giant amongst petty thieves and narcissists. His supporters have been a lot like he is in that they have been humble in their approach to the pettifoggers and other scumbags that have been making a mockery of our country and of us for 100 years.
The sociopaths currently running their agenda in D.C. will kill our kids and make us the enemy of the entire world. They come out glad handing and kissing baby butts decade after decade but nothing gets in the way of their glo-bull bullshit. Pretending to like us and even insinuating that they think we're intelligent (until the votes are in and they have a winner), when nothing could be further from the truth. They hate our guts but they know we're many and we can smash them like a bug if we ever get united for peace, love and decency, issues the cockroaches on stage with Ron Paul, the ORKIN MAN, never consider.
Their arrogance will be their downfall. Truth is, the RNC Convention should have been the sight of a real Ron Paul Revolution in 2008. Ron's supporters should be heard loud and clear this time around. Folks, it's past the time to get serious, very serious. Watching these phoney bastards call themselves conservatives turns my stomach. The Ron Paul REVOLUTION must make their grand entrance this time around and not be put off or put down by the "OLD SCHOOL" bought and paid for Republicraps.
The OLD SCHOOL republicraps (and DEMS as well) have been asking, no begging, for a good ass whippin for my entire life and yours too. It's the time ... it's in the air.
If America ever had a "GIPPER" to "win it for" ... he's Ron Paul !
"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again."
"However, take it away from them, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." [Josiah Stamp]

hopefully Rand will be up to filling his shoes.
With all due respect, that's the wrong way to envision the solution. That's akin to a music fan wishing for Julian Lennon to take the place of his father.
Political "dynasties" don't happen without support of at least one faction of the international jew financial system & their cronies.
The Ron Paul Revolution does possess a great deal of youthful, naive enthusiasm. But as a movement, they have never been tested under fire. Even if the son is capable of rising to the effort, one simple decapitation strike could then destroy all your "hope'.
And many if not most would then fractionalize or scatter.
What really needs to occur is for the RP Revolution to encourage its party faithful to step up in huge numbers, run for and win powerful elective positions at the local, state and federal level.
As powerful as they are, the internationalists can't fix every election.
Without jew support, in order to affect any real change, the Ron Paul Revolution needs 100's / 1000's of power bases.
Think of the Ron Paul Revolution as an American Sinn Féin. And then also bear in mind that without the IRA covering their backs, Sinn Féin wouldn't exist either.

I see your point, but the political reality is that there needs to be a standard flying for any grassroots movement that can attract the attention of the masses and be a driving force. That's what the OWS movement lacks, and the so-called teaparty as well. Both of those are faceless ideas have no direction, which makes them easy to covertly corrupt, slander and take over, as the teaparty has been (Ron Paul was the original inspiration for the teaparty after his 08 run, as I recall, but it left the bus station without him).
Regardless of whether Ron Paul wins the presidency or not, he'll be leaving the political scene soon. Whether he'd seek a second term would even be in question. Regardless of when he leaves, there will need to be somebody to take the political helm. It could be anyone with Ron Paul like qualities, but anyone else would need to prove him/herself as Ron Paul has done, before he can gain the respect of RP's following. Rand is among the few who can do that. Some John Doe rising off the street claiming to hold Ron Paul's ideals is simply not going to be trusted, even if he really would be great for America. Rand can be trusted so he'll obtain everyone's attention immediately and hopefully, keep things going.

That's the best kind. I do agree that there needs to be mass grassroots activism on the part of the young following Ron Paul has for there to be long term change. Absolutely.
