Why did the goof not understand that he had no "reasonable expectation of privacy" when he was out on a public sidewalk? You should have explained that to him and relieved his ignorance on that point.

First thing that popped into my mind was "arrogant jew". They have an air of superiority and get real pissy when people stand up to their perceived "authority".
