The instant he "goes negative" the controlled media will use it as the excuse they're waiting for to ridicule him as a propeller beanie kook and juxtapose him with every "conspiracy nut" who ever claimed that there was a secret cabal working against him. If he had made that tactical error after New Hampshire then never again would the media have granted Ron Paul airtime to explain his views on issues that matter. You saw how they used an old newsletter to keep him from discussing the FED, unlimited spending on senseless wars and the papering of the planet with the FED's fiat Monopoly munny, right?
And, how many politicians who ever cried foul in a federal election ever reversed the election results and then addressed the issue of election fraud from a powerful seat in office?
Ron Paul's integrity doesn't mean that he should avoid strategic planning to outsmart those who are hoping he'll say, "911 was an inside job". It's only because they cannot label him and thus trigger Pavlovian responses in well trained American television audiences that Paul has made it this far.
You already know the truth and you wouldn't be dissuaded by a massive smear campaign to knock Paul out of the race. But you are not the target of the campaign. It's millions of Americans who know something is wrong but still believe that bad things that happen to our economy are cosmic coincidences, and who still do not know that their "parents" in Wash, DC are a bunch of sold out, chicken hearted scumbags who can be blackmailed with photos of them with some dual citizen Mata Hari like Chandra Levy and America's Sweetheart, Monica Lewinsky giving them a Chinese basket job.

This is what the Press has almost unanimously been pretending to have amnesia about in context of that era and this election: Pres. Clinton says lack of dialogue on race main problem; Obama and the racist, Anti-American Rev. Wright; etc. like that.

Am posting this 2 1/2 min. video because it shows that Gingrich had gone to quite some lengths to keep Ron Paul from returning to Washington by sabotaging his 1996 re-election campaign.
If, as reported there, a 1997 New Republic report by James Kirchick started the allegedly-racist newsletter-hoopla, Kirchick would have been 14 years old at the time. Perhaps the date of that report was actually 2008, as referenced here. A minor detail, maybe, but -- in addition to raising questions about Kirchick's statements -- a 1997 date would place the report-flap in near conjuction with Gingrich's efforts to sabotage Ron Paul's 1996 re-election campaign. Either way, Kirchick is a Gingrich Neocon-associate and I do suspect that controversial newsletter-writer, James B. Powell, and others may have been planted in close proximity to Paul as saboteur-infiltraitors (perhaps even Lew Rockwell) to muddy his Constitutional and economic/monetary messages. That was similarly the case, imo, when his still active 2008 Presidential campaign was blanked out at Antiwar.com after 3 staffers there had become advisors to him.
