the author, Michael Levi, is the David M. Rubenstein Senior Fellow for Energy and the Environment at the CFR, and his artticle is a mixture of disinformation, bad metaphors, and haywire logic.

his argument, although it's kinda hard to pin down, seems to be: party on, dudes, and dont worry about oil.

my comments, which are languishing, and most likey will die, in "awaiting moderation" limbo, go like this...

why would the CFR want to confuse the peak oil issue?

maybe because they figured out, within 30 seconds of that second plane hitting the towers, that this was the "new jpearl harbor" that their buddies in PNAC wanted?

maybe it took them another 30 seconds to realize that PNAC staged 9/11.

maybe it took them another 30 seconds figure out peak oil, and peak oil's role as motive for the 9/11...

maybe it took them another nano-second and a half to figure out peak oil must be denied at all costs, lest people start connecting the dots.

in the ten years since 9/11, we havent bothered anyone but countries with oil, or countries that are on strategic pipeline routes.

Sure, it IS about oil and natural gas, but not for the reasons you claim. It is about TOTAL CONTROL of the world's energy.

Current wells ARE still viable and more than likely being replensished via underground networks of oil, yet, countries such as Saudi Arabia have ramped down their production DELIBERATELY in order to drive up prices.

So the fact remains, the global elite wish to control EVERY drop of oil on this planet, as he who controls the world's energy, controls the world itself.

...and they have so much control that impoverished nations in asia, africa and south america have to knuckle under... these poor countries cant produce their abiotic oil because this phantom government forbids it.

They already control the money supply and banking system. That was step 1.

Then energy.

The major media.

Medicine.

But of course it is all pure coincidence that all of those sectors are controlled by the same small cabal via interlocking directorates.

Why if you noticed those facts you'd be one a' them konspurcy theerists.

As well I would note that not oil but level of education and modernization, with the exception of Pipelinestan, AND NOT HAVING A ROTHSCHILD CONTROLLED CENTRAL BANK are the real common threads between Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Iran.

Agreed. But what are you going to do about it? Because, I dont know what to do about it.

Some people can live off grid now, but they are the exception. The majority won't put up with having to do that, until it's too late.

People are waking up, but is it enough, or is it too little too late. Hell if I know.

What are the PTB going to do when the wells dry up and it's too expensive, or outright impossible, to get more oil? The "elites" are just as shortsighted as the sheep are. I'm glad for that.

But personally I think the elites will lose control long before that happens. THey're vicious but not too bright. The only question is, how many sheep will die in the process. And, how many of us will die. I think that the grids will be local, and not national. I dont know what the city folk will do.
