Vladimir Kutcherov doesn't look like a fraud to me. That's the first thing I checked. Russian scientists make me a little suspicious, seeing some of teh stories I've read that quoted their "scientists",

The abiotic oil formation theory suggests that crude oil is the result of naturally occurring and possibly ongoing geological processes.

Not in my opinion, it doesn't.

How did a scientist make this kind of basic mistake?

"Proof" is alleged several times in this article. But there is no proof shown. There are only allegations.

Is abiotic oil for real? Hell if I know. But this article doesn't prove it is.
