A 53-year-old former teacher was less than thrilled to receive an email from Pôle Emploi, the French government-run jobs agency, proposing a position stripping in a local nightclub.

The job announcement said: "Nightclub searches stripper, €12 an hour" ($15).

Danièle Casadamont, who received the email at her home in Poussan, south-west France, was not happy with the proposition.

"If Pôle Emploi is suggesting we go naked for money, where's it going to end?" she told radio station RTL on Tuesday.

Pôle Emploi refused to apologise for the job proposal.

"There's no problem," said Pascal Blain to regional newspaper Midi Libre. "The offer is completely legal and there's nothing discriminatory. This lady received it because she has subscribed to job offers proposed in her region."

"The mails are automatic. It's the machine that does the work," he went on to explain.

"Letting the machine do the work, that's the problem," responded Danièle.

"The image of women is so mistreated today," she added. "It's time to stop asking us to drop our pants."

I used to be fluent in French. But the state-run economy there is SO extreme that I would have to rule it out as a place to expatriate to.

If I expatriate, it will be to Russia, or Ukraine. Good opportunities there.

I tend to agree with you. Countries that have suffered tyranny in recent history are much more in line with liberty now and the people are very watchful of anyone politician that strays from the will of the people.

Many of the sheeple in this country won't even wake up when they are told to kneel in front of the ditch while a soldier shoulders his rifle.
