[A bunch of claptrap about evil mutants removed]

...But he wasn't a factor in Maine, where Romney narrowly defeated Paul, capturing 39 percent to Paul's 36 percent of the vote, according to state Republican chairman Charlie Webster. Santorum and Gingrich, who didn't actively campaign in Maine, won 18 percent and 6 percent respectively.

The Maine vote totals reflected about 84 percent of the state's precincts. The contests scheduled for the coming days -- including an entire county that postponed its caucuses because of a snow storm -- will not be counted, according Webster, the state GOP chairman.

"We're not going to even accept the ballots. No one's going to keep track of them," he said, noting that those were the rules established by the party.

This is so over the top, I cannot say.

The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

It's depressing.

I feel like I'm grieving already for a relative who hasn't passed quite yet.

Now that I've calmed myself a bit, WTF is the campaign going to do to challenge this criminal malfeasance?

He cannot just ignore 84% of the citizens' votes.

4um: Rep. Ron Paul not conceding Maine vote

But in Washington County, where Paul had expected to perform well, the caucus was postponed until Feb. 18 due to an expected snowstorm. Washington County Republican Chairman Chris Gardner told the AP he had no idea when the caucuses were postponed that his county would no longer count toward the grand total.

I believe they counted 84%. Those not yet polled because of the storm are the remaining 16 percent, more than enough to put Paul over the top.

And, the courts (peopled by political animals) will likely uphold the party rules because it's obvious that RP is a threat to the comfy status quo; the MIC, the Zionist Choke Hold Lobby, The Friends of Rockefeller-Clinton-Bush-Cheney who are still strip mining the treasury, Big Oil, Big Pharma, etc.,.

Maine is lost, I believe.

We may as well give up any hope of restoring our country through the ballot box.

What's an even bigger joke is the minions of people that are due to self-imposed ignorance are complicit in the entire national malfeasance.

What better example of "getting the govt we deserve" as predicted by Ben Franklin?

Probably true.

Paul is as welcome as a PUB as David Duke was as a DEM. Both were a threat and both were hosed by their own parties.

Both were hosed by the establishment, of which the two parties are members.

A more accurate summary.
