We don't sell products or services on FR. We don't sell advertising. We don't charge membership dues. We are not a 501c non profit and therefore are not subject to government regulation. We pay all applicable taxes on our income and are free to speak our mind. Our operating costs are funded solely by donations from our readers and participants and that's the way we'd like to keep it if we possibly can. We are beholden to no one but our like-minded, pro-life, small government, strong defense, conservative grassroots membership!!
The funds raised in these FReepathons go to pay our current quarter expenses. But we're also going to try to replace some of our older servers and failing equipment this year so we're going to add a little extra to our FReepathon goals. John is estimating ten to fifteen thousand to do this and I'd like to get it all in place and working before the election cycle is fully heated up, so we'll try to bring in a little extra now, if we can, and the rest next quarter.
No matter who gets the nomination or eventually wins the election, we're going to need FR more than ever to hold their feet to the fire!!
We need FR and FR needs you!!
Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God!!
We are the resistance!!

And he needs even more this time!!! So y'all stop being selfish and dig deep.
I do believe this begathon Freepathon has set a record for length of time without reaching the goal.
I strongly suspect that rather than buying new servers or any new equipment they are asking for more from the suckers because they can see the jig is about up (because it takes longer and longer each cycle to raise the money). For those who remember FR back in the day they could raise all they claimed they needed to run the site in just a few days. But Jim, wise businessman that he is, keeps banning people for expressing any opinion contrary to his while holding the site out as one that respects the first amendment. Not that anyone here believes that of course but it seems that lots of folks are "hitting the reset button" on FR.
