Intelligent women don't hang around in bars or date or marry controlling men who disrespect themselves and women. These women are very discerning when it comes to men. They completely avoid the bar scene, speed-dating, online match-making. They do background checks on the men and generally marry men who are well-educated, as the women, and have a sense of proper social etiquette and sincerely want to be in a meaningful long-term relationship. These women also observe how these men treat their mothers and other women during the dating or courting phase.

I'd drop any woman who did a background check on me. There is nothing to find, but just the idea of it.

Sorry you feel that way. I learned that from my aunt who married very well. The first guy she dated she felt something wasn't right about him. Eventually she did marry a man who works in the insurance business and is a member of the chamber of commerce. She did a background check on him before they married. They have been married for 39 years and have a son and daughter. The son went to med school to become a doctor and daughter got her Masters Degree in Business Administration and works in Chicago. She has a very difficult time, like myself, finding a decent honorable man because she is well-educated and very attractive. She also prefers a man that is well-educated as herself. Why should she have to settle for less? She worked very hard to get that college degree. She is also very wary of men and only dates those referred to her by trusted friends, family and colleagues. Can't say I blame her. It's tough out there.

That's all you need right there.

Perhaps it's okay to do backgrounds checks on women to find out their sexual history? Perhaps they slept with too many men?

Can't be too careful or too paranoid.

The only thing any woman has to do is ask guys who know him what he's like. Men are much better judges of men's characters than women are, and even his friends will tell the truth about him.

You really think all women are THAT damn stupid? That's why P.I.'s exists. Some of us hire them to find out if our beau's are having affairs behind our backs and also if they've been previously married and if so why were they divorced and if they are still married (a possible bigamist). And it's also nice to get an idea from the previous wives about the guy too. A smart woman who does her homework like this spares herself the heartache and possibly endangering her life.
