"your so kewl lets get 2gether sumtim" Sometimes a person can wonder if anyone knows how to spell anymore. Sometimes a person has to wonder if teachers have just given up on grammar and punctuation altogether. Sometimes a person wonders what all the fuss is about if other people can figure out what's being said. Are you well-versed in homophones, possessive pronouns, and punctuation? Do you know why apostrophes are being overworked and underpaid? Do you spend so much time text messaging on your phone that you no longer know how to spell without numbers? Do you wonder why the non-word "gooder" is in the title? Go on, take the quiz and see what the teacher would give you in Language Arts today. Poster Comment: 100% this is one of my pet peeves. the misuse of apostrophes. ;)

When businesses can't even spell their own names and their products, what do you expect? They use things like "kwik kopy", "kleen", and other idiocy. -------------------------------------------------------- Been griping about this for a few years now! Guess that's why nobody writes to me any more! :-) In addition to this issue is the rampant "Re-Definition" of words. I think they're working on making us Non-Entities or OutCasts!! :-)

That's a good use of Zappa right there..... I can't help but think of prostate cancer whenever I see, or hear, Frank Z. His congressional testimony in front of Lady Gore in the mid 80s (I intentionally refuse to use an apostrophe with 80s) is a classic. Get a PSA test guys, it's not the sole indicated of CA, but it's one of a few different tests that can help with early detection.
And you don't need to. That is standard orthography.

"ortho" = upright, correct "graphy" = writing This is Greek for writin' with a hard on.

I tend to abuse just the ellipsis... Jes' muh style of writin' I guess... ...But at least I don't misuse or abuse exclamation points! Like one certain poster! Why does every sentence require an exclamation point! Even when they're questions! And why must every line be spaced from the body! Speaking (or writing) about pet peeves, how about posters who insist on "The Sign-Off" as though they're autographing their post? EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Liberator Shouldnt that be "apostrophe's"? :P GUH-aht-shuh - Noun. The noise a kidney stone makes as it rips out your insides.
