Yes indeed.

The Navy is not too discriminating as to who they hire, but when it comes to Subs, all of a sudden it all changes.

Submariners are screened to be easy to get along with folks, highly competent, intelligent easy to get along with folks.

Not a bad idea as they can spend several months in a steel tube.

This is fascinating! It reminds me of watching the movie, "The Abyss". Also, you should try Google Earth to travel to the center depths of the North Pole. There is sooo much biblical history in the depths of the earth and under the ocean that to travel by submarine is a rare opportunity. You'd need a military map to see a realistic graphic view of the earth's terrain.
