Iran will stand by the Palestinian nation in their bid to emancipate [all Palestinian territories] and gain full sovereignty."
Irans Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi has reiterated Tehran's support for the Palestinian nation in their efforts to achieve the liberation of all Palestinian territories.
Iran will stand by the Palestinian nation in their bid to emancipate [all Palestinian territories] and gain full sovereignty, Roknabadi said at a conference entitled the Declaration of al-Quds as the capital of Palestine, the Arabs and Muslims, held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Sunday.
The Iranian diplomat added that Iran will continue to support the Palestinian nation despite facing political and economic plots by hegemonic powers aimed at dissuading the Islamic Republic from supporting the nations resistance.
He further said the Palestinian lands, which stretch from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River, will be liberated only through unity and resistance.
East al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Palestine are the Islamic worlds most important issues, the envoy said, calling upon all Muslim countries to pool their resources in order to contribute to the liberation of all the Palestinian lands.
He described Islamic unity and solidarity as the key to the settlement of Palestinian issues and the challenges facing the Islamic world, including the hegemonic powers schemes against Muslim nations.
Israel occupied the Palestinian territories of West Bank, East al-Quds and the Gaza Strip in 1967. Tel Aviv later annexed both the West Bank and East al-Quds. The UN has refused to recognize either of moves.
