Have you ever read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand ? That and The Vision Of Ayn Rand by Nathaniel Branden, a book of 527 pages text of his 20 NBI Lectures on Objectivism, would help you deal with your issues. Both are available from Amazon.

I love Ayn Rand's books. One of my favorites are "We the Living". And a movie was made of her called "The Passion of Ayn Rand". I love that movie. She was the only woman I know who lived her life without lying to herself. The movie was intended to teach us to search for the truth in human living. And that instead of living by social restrictions you free your mind and the rest of you follows behind. Social restrictions are designed for people who have no backbone or spine. They are followers who wallow in life thinking they are doing the right thing when actually they are living a complete lie.

Rand wasn't nearly as bad as her Objectivist cult became after she was gone.

Another one of her works well worth reading is "The Virtue of Selfishness".

Rand was a well-respected author but not truly accepted by many people in the academic world because in the schools of so-called "higher learning", they shun the idea of individualism and praise altruism.

This country was not founded on the notion of altruism but the complete opposite; the pursuit of individual happiness and freedom. But socialists shun freedom and personal happiness. Their way of thinking is that when raising your child, it becomes everybody's problem. This is where Hillary Clinton's book, "It Takes a Village" comes into play because Clinton's books embraces socialism all the way. So in essence your child becomes the village idiot.

And as Rand has plainly addressed this in all her writings, socialism and communism are set up to destroy absolutely everything including the human will and spirit.
