I posted a joke on the board earlier and I would like to know from anyone who will reply if they believe it to be offensive. While I personally didn't think it was out of line I got (I think) three comments from people who sounded as if they were offended by it. The thread is The Fire Chief Said....?. Is it offensive, yes or no?

That's what I thought too--it's a joke, just like I told Obama's sycophant, Jameson. And can you imagine going to snopes to check on anything, let alone whether a JOKE is "real" or not? LOL! That right there is even funnier than the original joke that sent him on that chase.

what strikes me most about this thread is that people dont realize how good they have it. anyone even reading such a 4um has it better than 99.99% of the rest of the world's population. a lot of people have real problems.

I reckon Jameson has it so good that he can worry about a joke that might offend Jackson, Burris and/or Sharpton. Personally, I wouldn't care if those clowns were offended, they are offensive to me.

its sort of funny what people get offended at.Yesterday i used a restroom that didnt have soap.After arguing i told the employee 'this is the u.s. we have health codes here'.He said 'now youre offending me!.i said, u can be offended all you want.Get soap.

lol, the guy was an a-hole, & his bad attitude prompted me to push the issue. and actually, i looked up some codes & realized they dont even comply with federal ADA bathroom specs. i can really F them, & i just might. should have shut up & gotten my soap

I know all about the health codes from my early years in the PD. When we knew a restaurant was dirty (as in involved in heavy criminal activity) we'd make sure there wasn't any soap in the bathroom when we checked. And as Walter Cronkite was fond of saying, "....and that's the way it (was)"....
