I posted a joke on the board earlier and I would like to know from anyone who will reply if they believe it to be offensive. While I personally didn't think it was out of line I got (I think) three comments from people who sounded as if they were offended by it. The thread is The Fire Chief Said....?. Is it offensive, yes or no?

I would not say I was offended I just didn't get the line of the joke that's all. I mentioned that because its the same as trying to get into the mind of what the author or writer is trying to portray. It can be difficult for me because I cannot easily understand what the character wants and what is its obstacle. Same with some jokes. I'm also against PC as that's not what this forum is about.
