Society is an apparatus for providing women with resources. Every human society that has survived follows this model.
Wombs are the bottleneck of human reproduction. Most men can die off and the size of the next generation is unchanged. Those lucky men who survive don’t miss their dead competitors.
The death of one woman not only reduces the size of the next generation, her loss is compounded exponentially over the course of generations. Hundreds of descendants never come into being.
Putting women first was the successful group survival strategy of the Stone Age—a strategy that didn’t change as a few farming tribes grew into civilizations. Securing resources for women was as important as ever. Scarcity and malnutrition made the children of the poor less likely to reach adulthood and reproduce in turn. Famine for an entire civilization could be just a few bad harvests away and if it became impossible to support everyone, those of least status would always be the first to be pruned away for the greater good.
Through millennia we see some of these farming societies become prosperous and rise above the threats of starvation and invasion Across time and place, whenever security and abundance become available to a critical mass of people, certain self-destructive trends begin to emerge.
In the modern West, we call one of these trends ‘feminism.’ Feminism is often likened to an anomalous illness, but in truth, it results from a Stone Age social system functioning as it always has.

This system begins to break down when its two implicit assumptions no longer hold true:
Scarce resources. Constant and immediate external threats. Like any system held in check only by scarcity, it becomes cancerous when given the opportunity to expand without limits. A civilization that grows in sufficiently rich soil rots away.
We are a blip on the timeline, another iteration of the same old pattern. Perhaps some prosperous civilization will eventually understand that Stone Age social software is ill suited for advanced societies and install a new operating system.
In our own epoch, there was an industrial revolution and an explosion of resources. Suddenly, only a tiny fraction of the population had to farm the land to produce huge surpluses and nearly every material need could be satisfied cheaply through mass production. The most wealthy and powerful societies had only each other to fear. There was no threat of barbarians coming out of nowhere.
In the midst of this incredible abundance and security, women were still expected to obtain the resources they needed through men. To get these resources, they had to make compromises that benefited both parties.
As the material standards men had to meet in order mate inflated, their bargaining power weakened. The more these men gave to women, the less women needed them to accomplish their aims.
Once women had been made sufficiently powerful by the resources and concessions given them by men, they continued to do what they always had: collect resources to the best of their ability. Now they could carry out their imperative on a larger scale through grander means.
Men had finally created a tragedy of the commons for themselves through their relentless competition. The women they courted could finally bypass individual men entirely and start drawing wealth and power from the state. The state became the perfect provider that demanded no sacrifices in return.
The female version of the sexbot had been invented.

I cannot say this is totally correct.
Probably the main cause of feminism is men creating advanced technology which made women's lives so easy the more intelligent ones became bored and thought than entering men's world would make them happier.
The puzzling thing is how they decided this was conscious "oppresion" due to patriarchy. etc. And how in the world they fell for the evil nonsense of Marxist/Leninist/Stalinist frauds like Betty Friedan and Gloria Steinem is something I yet do not understand.
