The Holocaust is The Wimp Libel. What is the Wimp Libel?
It is the idea that the Holocaust happened out of nowhere, and the Jews did not have any power anywhere and had not been engaging in any ideological or ethnic warfare and bloodshed prior to the Holocaust. That Jews were just a bunch of Woody Allen type violin players and peaceful bankers and lawyers and teachers. There were no “tough Jews” with Mausers terrorizing the Ukrainian steppe in the 1930’s—no, none at all.
Here’s the good news, Jews. You may be a lot of things, but “wimps” ain’t one of them. Your Bolsheviks killed tens of millions of hardy Russians and Ukrainians, and some Poles, Estonians, Lithuanians and Latvians as well.
A lot of murdered Jews were not murdered by marauding Germans, but by Baltic and Slavic people who were merely exacting revenge, who were engaging in counter-warfare to Bolshevism.
Nazi Germany did not identify the threat as simply “Jews.” Their term was “Judeo-Bolshevism.” In other words, they were reacting to a very specific Jewish dominated political movement. It was a very powerful movement. The Civil War of 1918-1921 in Russia was Jews versus Russians, and Jews won. The Judeo-Bolsheviks killed at least 7 million Ukrainians in the 1930’s, and it was called “the Kholodomor.” And yes, they killed women and children in cold blood too. Jews were gunning down the Tsar’s children when Hitler was just a bicycling corporal in the German army.
I’m not saying this to antagonize or place blame, but rather to point out the false consciousness engendered by the “Wimp Libel” of the Holocaust. Trotsky was no Woody Allen; he was a man willing to make the streets run red with blood for his ideals.
The Wimp Libel has its uses, of course, as Norman Finkelstein points out in the book “The Holocaust Industry.” But one wonders about the psychic cost of the Wimp Libel on Jews, on their behaviour and actions, and how their Wimp Libel motivated behavior affects the rest of us.
So perhaps one can try to mentally liberate Jews from this particular brain slug, by approaching the Holocaust as a willfully omissive and morally unbalanced way to interpret history.
