Title: Obama State Department set to cede oil-rich Alaska islands to Russia

Obama’s State Department is giving away seven strategic, resource-laden Alaskan islands to the Russians. Yes, to the Putin regime in the Kremlin. … The seven endangered islands in the Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea include one the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined. The Russians are also to get the tens of thousands of square miles of oil-rich seabeds surrounding the islands. The Department of Interior estimates billions of barrels of oil are at stake.

The State Department has undertaken the giveaway in the guise of a maritime boundary agreement between Alaska and Siberia. Astoundingly, our federal government itself drew the line to put these seven Alaskan islands on the Russian side. But as an executive agreement, it could be reversed with the stroke of a pen by President Obama or Secretary Clinton.

The agreement was negotiated in total secrecy. The state of Alaska was not allowed to participate in the negotiations, nor was the public given any opportunity for comment. This is despite the fact the Alaska Legislature has passed resolutions of opposition – but the State Department doesn’t seem to care. It was apparent four years ago that the "fix" was in for this idiot puppet when millions poured into his coffers without asking.

A record billion dollars bought the election for this human trash. The money did not come from Watts and Harlem.

Charlotte Iserbyt -- Oct 16, 2003 ... UNITED STATES-RUSSIAN MERGER: A DONE DEAL ...

"...The evidence of conspiracy is everywhere, but is never mentioned by the controlled major media or educational institutions. The inability of the average American to accept "conspiracy theory" is a result of the media's constant denial, over many, many years of the important place of conspiracy in world history and its constant labeling of those intelligent and well-informed Americans who discuss the role of conspiracy in history as "right wing extremist kooks." Americans unfortunately believe and are conditioned by what they hear over and over on the "controlled" establishment news. That is why I personally make it very clear whenever I speak on radio that "Yes, our nation has been subjected to a vast conspiracy, and anyone who believes otherwise has obviously not cracked a non-revisionist history book."

Probably the one key historical event which proves without a doubt the conspiratorial goal of the "traitors" to merge our country into an unconstitutional international socialist system (called for by Lenin and Stalin, with the financial backing of Wall Street, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and many multinational corporations) was the meeting Norman Dodd had with Rowan Gaither, the President of the Ford Foundation during Mr. Dodd's tenure as the Research Director for the Reece Committee in 1953. This Congressional committee was established to investigate the activities of the left-leaning foundations.

Mr. Gaither said:

"Mr. Dodd, all of us here at the policy making level of the foundation have at one time or another served in the OSS [the Office of Strategic Services, the forerunner of the CIA] or the European Economic Administration, operating under directives from the White House. We operate under those same directives...The substance of the directives under which we operate is that we shall use our grant making power to so alter life in the United States that we can be comfortably merged with the Soviet Union."

[President Eisenhower was the first President to sign agreements in 1958, at the peak of the Cold War, with the Soviet Union. These agreements related to education, space, the arts, medicine, etc.]

Stunned, Dodd finally replied "Why don't you tell the American people what you just told me and you could save the taxpayers thousands of dollars set aside for this investigation?" Gaither responded, "Mr. Dodd, we wouldn't think of doing that."

Gaither's response is in itself proof that a conspiracy existed at that time. Subsequent events prove that it continues to exist to this day!

In order to accomplish such a merger which is in effect the international system we see being implemented today: New World Order/world government through the creation of world economic regions, e.g. the European Union, certain conspiratorial actions had to be taken over a long period of time using what I refer to as "The Four- Prong, (Devil's) Fork": ....."

Artisan, this is why I appreciate your articles. You source damn near everything. OTOH, the same cant be said for the 'elites'.

Now, to the article.

Proof?

Why, I wonder, was no proof given?

It's (the OP) based on a WND article, again not sourced to prove his point. And at WND, it is on the opinion page. This is not an "opinion". This is stated as fact. Why?

THen there's this at the bottom of that wnd article:

Joe Miller was the 2010 Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate from Alaska. He is a West Point graduate and decorated combat veteran from the first Gulf War. A former judge, Joe graduated from Yale Law School and was later awarded an advanced economics degree from the University of Alaska. He is presently chairman of Restoring Liberty Alaska PAC and Restoring Liberty Action Committee. Follow Joe at Facebook and Twitter.

So:

1) he's a republipuke nominee (people here just love republicans and politicians in general)

2) a thug in uniform (Yep, they're admired too...)

3) a judge / lawyer (always a beloved group among the freedom-minded)

4) Last but not least, he has the title of "He is presently chairman of Restoring Liberty Alaska PAC and Restoring Liberty Action Committee."

Money grubbing. He's looking for money.

He can't come up with basic sources. Since when do fundraisers need facts.

I say it's BS until proven differently.

The article link didn't work for me but more sources at statedepartmentwatch.org: Summary of Giveaway of 8 American Alaskan Islands to the Russian Government

STATE DEPARTMENT WATCH discovered the existence of the negotiations in 1984. It began a public campaign of opposition both to the immense giveaway involved, and to the power of the State Department to adopt such a maritime boundary as an executive agreement and not as a treaty. The State Department never notified the United States Senate that it was negotiating over something that might result in a treaty, as required by law. Treaties require Senate review, and in this case would require House of Representatives implementation review because it disposes of U.S. government property. The State of Alaska was ignored. STATE DEPARTMENT WATCH aided the Alaska Legislature in passing several resolutions protesting the giveaway. In particular they challenged the unconstitutional denial of the state government's right to participate in the negotiations and to consent to the terms that affect the state's territory, property, and sovereignty. This right was firmly established by Secretary of State Daniel Webster in 1842 in the negotiations between the U. S. and Great Britain over establishing the boundary between Maine and what is now Canada, which was formalized in the Webster-Ashburton Treaty. [See Webster-Ashburton Treaty.]

Edit to note that I tried the article link again and it worked that time.

A couple problems.

1) In 1977 the Soviets eagerly accepted the concept of the proposed maritime boundary line, but no formal agreement was reached until 1990. At least 10 rounds of secret negotiations occurred through the Carter, Reagan, and Bush Administrations with no public, Congressional, or State of Alaska input sought by the State Department. According to State Department documents, for 13 years the Soviets were demanding even more seabeds along the Bering Sea part of the line.

a) How was these "secret negotiations" uncovered? It amazes me how they just can't keep a secret... not.

b) He mentions docs. Where are they? Am I just supposed to take his word for it? Not f'n likely!

www.statedepartmentwatch.org/1867Treaty.htm is the 1867 treaty (supposedly). I can't even read that.

c) Aren't treaties supposed to have signatures? I cant read the treaty but I can see that no one signed it.

2) The 1990 treaty was never signed. He admits that. But them that leaves only the "secret agreement" that makes an end run around the senate. www.statedepartmentwatch.org/1990BushXmit-Senate.htm

Have the Russians taken physical possession of these Islands? I haven't read the whole site, but there is no reason to bury that kind of knowledge. Something like that should be front and center, in huge print.

"alternative" sources are just as full of shit as mainstream source.

When someone references "secret" documents, and tells what they say, but doesn't produce them, then I have to ask myself why. In order to tell us what they say, he has to have them in his possession, right?

All it takes is a simple answer. Since this has been going on for years, did Russia take possession of those islands or not?

Hiding the simple truth in idiotic complications seems to be a favorite tactic of disinfo scum.

Gosh, that just sounds so uncouth as compared to your note of appreciation to Artisan on his sources, a goodly number of which are probably some distance off the beaten path of the "MSM" McMedia.

The source I posted for you and All to corroborate the Russia and Alaska issue as real, with a long history and high-level finaglings throughout, goes up to about 2003, not the present, but does reference Congressional docs, etc., that you could look for to doublecheck if you wanted to. Instead, you apparenly want to write it all off as disinfo by quibbling over anonymity. If you were really concerned about that, though, you'd have to discard quite a lot of what big media prints and says. If you're still skeptical, I don't know what else to tell ya, since I'm done surfing for links to suit you about it, but I'll leave you with the thought that it's not impossible this is what Obama meant when he told Medvedev that he'd have more flexibility about something after the election.

Read his articles. Or not. But I tell the truth.

There is no 'apparently' about it. If docs are referenced, and he tells what is in them, then produce the docs. This isn't theoretical nuclear physics we're talking about here. It's simple. Authors like that make it complicated. It s easier to hide bullshit in manufactured complications than in simplicity.

One cay say all sorts of stupid things and call it 'anonymous'. That happens in the MSM and alternative media.

And I didn't ask you to hunt for links. You did that on your own.

That's right -- for everybody. Sounds like you're not giving much thought to the possibility that this issue is what Obama meant in his discussion with Medvedev but your disagreeable opinions are noted. Au revoir4now, Crabby Appleton.

ounds like you're not giving much thought to the possibility that this issue is what Obama meant in his discussion with Medvedev but your disagreeable opinions are noted.

Why deal in possibilities?

Go down those rabbit holes and you will never find your way out. It's nothing but a huge distraction.

What he told the Russian was the equivalent of saying that 2+2=4. Medvedev probably thought obama was an idiot for stating the obvious like that.

That part of the conversation was caught. What was missed. before he said that? Who knows. Speculation is pointless.

And BTW, I'm not being crabby. I'm just sticking to the topic.

You're speculating that my offline name's not Alice, aren't you? Well, you'd be right about that but don't be so sure I'd be all that lost. Maybe I know how to read rabbit maps or could find a nice rabbit to point out which way to go to get back here. It's not like I'm somebody who'd rather drive 'round and 'round getting nowhere because I'd rather not ask for directions.

And BTW, I'm not being crabby. I'm just sticking to the topic.

As you see it but no further comment on that.
