Deriving mutual benefits from a relationship is not a bad thing. Where Brokenman and the rest of us men lose the plot is when we expect past benefit provided to the woman to continue generating current or future association (see corollary 1). Loyalty, honor, gratitude, and duty are male values that we men project on women, but which very few, to no, women actually possess. We aren’t born with these values; they are drummed into us from the cradle on by society/culture, our families, and most definitely by the women in our lives (sorry, but that includes you too, Mom). Women get different indoctrination, so they have different values; mostly, for a woman, whatever is good for her and her (biological) children is what is best, full stop. So, do not expect that the woman in your life will be grateful, and sacrifice for you, when you can no longer provide for her and hers. And make no mistake, you have never been, and never will be, part of what is hers. What are hers will be first herself, then her (biological) children, then her parents, then her siblings, and then the rest of her blood relatives. The biological imperative has always been to extend her blood line. It stops there, and it always will. This is true everywhere in the world. Get over it.

One of the great benefits of forums like these is that it gives the gynophobes an opportunity to beat their breasts in the public square.

The Most Important Thing You Can Know As A Man...

...is how to listen to a woman with your undivided attention and not be judgemental or critical when she wants to talk about her feelings or problems. She almost never wants a solution, she just wants to talk and have her feelings validated by the man in her life.

.... This is true everywhere in the world. Get over it.

Short and sweet: Quit putting women on pedestals, you fucking idiots! They don't belong there. There is nothing in their nature to warrant that.

It's the idiotic 'men' out there that are at fault for doing this. It's not womens fault for being true to THEIR nature. It's mens fault for not being true to their own nature.

It's the 'men' that are the ones at fault here, imo. Really, some (most) of their interactions with women are downright painful to watch, from titty bars to restaurants to malls, it's cringe-worthy in the extreme.

I'm listening with my undivided attention :-)

I'm trying to improve myself and my relationship skills; and Yes, they are skills that require constant attention, evidently. After having an epiphany and realizing that women have done this their whole lives it's kind of sobering to finally wake up a few years late and see some mistakes I've made in the past and how my life could have been so much different.

New one on me. Even the supposed definition is about as effed up as the modern western woman. Arachnaphobia, fear of spiders does not claim that contempt for spiders is equivalent to fear.....lol..... Wimminz. The truth, my wayward friend is I recognize the true nature of women, and act accordingly. If there is any fear it of manginas and thier compatriots who use thier power to 'impress' the ladies by effing over men, whether it be robbing them thru the criminal courts, denying them their rights of property, parenting, freedom, and entrapping them in slavery, commonly referred to as marriage.

LOL!! It costs me nothing to genuinely listen to a woman. I met two women in the health club yesterday that had noticed me previously, I had no idea that they even knew I existed. The first one introduced me to her friend and I've gained two new acquaintances. On Thursday I opened up in a long conversation with the nursing home administrator that I visit and she likes me enough that she's going to play matchmaker for me with a cute girlfriend of hers. I'm very happy right now!!

Got me there.

Just keep your wallet close, because that is what most of them are after.

Word to the wise, look for someone who treats you like a "human being" not a "doing being". The latter will cut and run as soon as "what have you done for me lately" ends.

Best of luck, my girl and I get along fine, she has her place, I have mine, we have a 'fair trade' type of relationship, it is in fact quite equitable ;)

I get hit on fairly regularly by the "what can you do for me" crowd, I employ a "ignore, ignore" demeanor, or a non-chalant, don't care attitude, and then the desperation begins, haha......quite amusing really.....wimmin, quite predictable really :)

Men and women both think about some of the same things about each other. Men can't understand women and women can't understand men. But the truth of the matter is that happily married people understand each other just about perfectly. Most are not happily married, that is why they think this way about the opposite sex, they assume wrongly that all members of the opposite sex are the same. Crazy assumption, but that is what is assumed by both men and women.

God is always good!

Briffault's Law starts off by referring to women and men in general as the animal family. This is wrong and to me it smells of bs.

Man and woman did not originate from animals and neither did they derive from the primate kingdom. This Briffault idiot's attitudes towards women resemble that of Sigmund Freud who abhorred women to begin with. And this video is a perfect example of why our society is so damn messed up. Men and women were created for the purpose of being together.

Finally, it is not so much what mothers verbally instill in their children but rather the relationship lessons are imbued in both young boys and girls purely by observation on how mom and dad treat each other. From these observations, it will leave either a positive or negative imprint on the children that will remain in their subconscious memory throughout their adulthood relationships with the opposite sex.

Well, it is pretty obvious you are not an evolutionist, I am a skeptic, but do think there is some validity depending upon the specifics. Anyway, not here to discuss evolution.

I would agree one of the purposes men and women are here is companionship. There are other reasons, ie. reproduction, protection, provision, status, sex, family, etc.

I do agree Mom and Dad do matter, but you seem to argue that nurture is over nature, when in fact there is definitely 'human nature', and there is in my view distinctly a female and a male 'nature'. Briffault attempted to describe a part of the female nature, not refute that nurture by family (Mom and Dad) does have it's affects, which are important.

Anyway, the 'animal' reference din my view just confuses the issue and could well have been left out. I reference a site below, that explains his theory in a one page written form, I personally do better with the visual( ie., writen word) rather than the verbal (audio) so it did help me a bit to understand where he is coming from.

Don't listen to what a woman says: listen to what she does.

I don't allow women to change their minds. I tell it's the same thing as lying.

If they do -- by! They've been shocked by that more than once.

You're a hard-shell turtle, Turtle.

But you're right on this one.

Back in college I bought a car which I had to tow behind my car. I had my girlfriend steer the car while I towed it. We went through the alleys and she kept banging the towed car into the back of mine.

After about the fifth time I got out and asked what the problem was. I had a long tow chain so she shouldn't have been crashing into the back of my car.

She burst into tears and ran off. I sat on the hood of my car until she came back.

Do you know what she said to me?

"You were supposed to chase me!"

I told her I had no use for drama queens and that I would never chase her.

I never had that problem again.

I sense a disturbance in the farce. Much gnashing will ensue.

I don't believe in nature vs. nurture mentality anymore than I believe in the book Men are From Mars Women are From Venus. I also don't believe in evolution and nor do I believe I am from the animal family. This is a perfect example of mind-control. Once you have kept the herd mentality down to the animal state of mind like Briffaults Law and Freudian theory, people really start to believe they are animals. Here's a perfect example. Please excuse me, if this video offends some but I feel that as long as videos like Briffault's are spread around dispelling that we are all animals, it is no wonder that people start to not only believe this false notion but actually behave like animals. It saddens me to see this young lady depicted in this video in such a degrading animalistic manner. Apparently, her handler has messed with her head up so badly that she has become consumed and degraded to that of an animal state. And she does a damn good job of it too. Again, I don't find it amusing at all. May God help this young woman find peace of mind and get away from the trash that has belittled her to such an undignified state of mind. www.youtube.com/watch?fea..._detailpage&v=oyRv4J5J8i8

This idea of humans originating from the animal family or primate kingdom is a damn lie!

And remember this: According to George Orwell's book, Animal Farm, the famous quote, "Four legs good, two legs bad". That should really stick into your head for a minute and make you think. Those like Freud applied this animalistic mentality to women and the human race. And this Briffault asshole, is just as much to blame for taking part in this sham.

"You were supposed to chase me!"

I was boinkn the Librarian, and one Sunday morning after a pretty nice nite with her, she came down stairs. I was reading in my den, she got dressed without saying a word, and stomped out of the house. At the door she says; "I'm leaving, you didn't day good morning to me". Monday at lunch I dropped her sh*t off on her porch, to the curb with her Ilk ;)

I later told a women friend of mine about the 'event'. Her reply was; "She wanted you to chase her".

I just laughed, I guess I am not made to chase crazy..lol
