I just found out today Mike Wallace died. I've always been annoyed at him desecrating my last name, since his was really Wallik.
Scottish ancestry my butt. Hebrew was more like it.
While I spit upon the ground upon which Mike Wallace/Wallik trod there are a lot of Scots and Irish with Jewish/Hebrew ancestry. A lot more than most people think. Anyone with the last names of McBee/MacBee, or MacBay/McBay both derive from Maccabeus - as in "The Maccabees" who fled to Scotland and Ireland in the first century A.D. when Rome made Palestine too hot for them. There are other clans too, but I haven't done the research on them.

Interesting you should say that. Some of the folks in my family who are into genealogy (which I am not) say that we are descendants of the Stuarts. Not that I got a dime out of it.
