Alan Dershowitz: Zimmerman Arrest Affidavit "Irresponsible And Unethical"

“Most affidavits of probable cause are very thin. This is so thin that it won’t make it past a judge on a second degree murder charge,” Dershowitz said. “There’s simply nothing in there that would justify second degree murder.”

I hope the massive racial manipulation of the public by the whore MSM is becoming clearer. By charging Zimmerman with 2nd degree murder, the special prosecutor has created a scenario where a dismissal of the charges at trial is a distinct possibility. Should that happen, and should the timing of such a decision be close to the November (s)elections, this nation will split like nothing we've seen since our Civil War.

This would likely happen in a pre-trial motion, I think. Depends on FL statutes.

She may be charging 2nd just to show she's serious. Either way, it helps her force a plea bargain on a frightened Zimmerman.

If Zimmerman calls her bluff and the judge throws it out, she can say she tried (and blame the judge) and still charge him with manslaughter and either try the case or plea-bargain it further.

Exactly. The over charging is typical of an unethical (Dershowitz's choice of words) prosecutor. Welcome to our judicial system, eh?

The D.A. may go for lesser included charges so the jury could pick 2nd, manslaughter, etc. Depends on FL law and the judge.

People always forget that every state has its own laws.

And if FL fails to railroad him, Holder will try it as a hate crime or something in a federal case.

I'm not at all sure if a DA can change the charge of a "special prosecutor." I imagine it's possible, but if I were in Zimmerman's shoes I'd roll the dice on this. And yes, for sure Holder the racist will hammer him with a bogus civil rights charge, but the dude if half Hispanic, so how does that work? This system is so entirely effed that nothing short of ripping it down will change things. As things grow more acute we can forget about trying to "change things from the inside." We haven't enough time.

She is a Florida state attorney. She is running for re-election to that job. So I shouldn't refer to her as a D.A.
