Another ‘Heart Attack Grill’ customer collapses while eating ‘bypass burger’

By Eric Pfeiffer | The Sideshow – 17 hrs ago

A customer collapsed while eating a burger at the "Heart Attack Grill" (AP/Matt York)

No one can accuse The Heart Attack Grill of false advertising.

A woman collapsed into unconsciousness at the Las Vegas restaurant while eating a "double bypass burger," drinking a margarita and smoking a cigarette.

The unnamed customer was the second in just over two months to collapse at the restaurant while eating one of the famed burgers named after various forms of cardiac arrest. Back in February, another customer was caught on video being carted out by paramedics after suffering a heart attack while eating a "quadruple bypass" burger.

The Heart Attack Grill's owner Jon Basso tells ABC News that the woman is currently recovering in the hospital. Basso told ABC that he himself has eaten at least one single bypass burger each day since his restaurant first opened seven years ago.

"It's a lifestyle issue," Basso said. "We attract the avant-garde of lifestyle seekers."

The Heart Attack Grill offers free meals to any customer who weighs over 350 pounds and features a butterfat milkshake, nonfiltered cigarettes, "flatliner" fries and four burgers, each rated on an ascending scale of "a single bypass" to the "quadruple bypass."

There's a tongue-in-cheek warning sign at the restaurant's door stating that the offered dining fare is a health risk. Waitresses in the restaurant even wear nurses' uniforms.

Last year, the company's 600-pound spokes-model died when he was only 29-years-old.

"It's the Mecca for unhealthy lifestyles," Bosso said.

how edgy...

Put this in the Too Stupid To Live file.

Somebody ought to tell the truth about the Bible. The preachers dare not, because they would be driven from their pulpits. Professors in colleges dare not, because they would lose their salaries. Politicians dare not. They would be defeated. Editors dare not. They would lose subscribers. Merchants dare not, because they might lose customers. Men of fashion dare not, fearing that they would lose caste. Even clerks dare not, because they might be discharged. And so I thought I would do it myself... Robert Ingersoll

we look for people with food addictions and alcoholics.

The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

Simply put, this place caters to complete and utter slobs, although not that everyone that goes there is one.

Either way, Duhmerika has appetites of overindulgence in so many facets of life.

War, food, alcohol, drugs, please-take-care-of-me gubmint, sports, sex, wealth, houses, cars, entertainment/amusement (most of which is filth), etc., etc.

Everything but truth and true education. Go figure.

You couldn't pay a "normal" person to eat the pile of crap, yet I bet that restaurant is a hit. The ongoing conditioning of the sheeple has reached critical mass, and 'they' now far outnumber the still mentally curious. It's a case of national brain damage by any other name.

yet, if they only had hooters/chippendales type waitfolk and a brothel/mustang ranch upstairs, all would be complete...

I think I'd try the triple if I ever get a chance, besides the fact it looks pretty good, I'd like to get a lift in a wheelchair by one or more of those hot nurses. In this video (which I can't embed), a guy has one sitting on his lap on the ride out.

Not sure if they still do it, but when they shot this video they had the customers wear hospital gowns. I guess they were getting them ready for the ride to the real ER...

That idea of putting lard on the buns is pretty gross & extreme, but cooking the fries in lard is probably better for you than those so-called "healthy oils" that are loaded with omega-6 fatty acids that go to work on your arteries like a wood chipper.

Homework assignment: Look up the "Inuit Paradox". They eat a diet that is up to 75% fat, but have almost zero incidence of heart disease or diabetes. The secret is that the fats they consume from whale blubber, fish & seal is omega-3 fatty acids.
