But there is nonetheless something stomach-churning about the way terrorists are choosing to die in Ramadi. Read the account below, and you'll find yourself asking: are these men on powerful drugs? Are they cretins with IQ 60? What's going on here? Multi National Forces West press release, forwarded by Mike Thompson: "In the first incident, a sniper team observed an insurgent digging a hole along a street that historically contained a high number of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The sniper team engaged the insurgent with one round and was able to confirm one enemy killed in action. Shortly afterwards, a taxi pulled up and stopped between the body of the insurgent and the sniper team. Three insurgents exited the vehicle and began firing sporadically in all directions with AK-47s. The sniper team engaged all the three individuals and was able to confirm three additional enemy killed in action. At this point, a fourth insurgent got out of the taxi and began firing at the sniper team. The insurgent was engaged as well, but was able to escape in the taxi after being injured. In the second incident, a sniper team observed as a vehicle pulled up to a historical IED hole and two insurgents got out to inspect the hole. When the insurgents began pulling out ordnance from the trunk of their vehicle to place in the hole, the sniper team determined hostile intent and engaged both insurgents. The snipers were able to confirm two enemies killed in action. In the two other incidents, sniper teams observed two masked men observing their positions at two separate times during the day. Both insurgents were engaged and confirmed killed." Don't these morons understand by now what they're up against? The Marines have been in Anbar for two years, and shouldn't the insurgents understand by now what happens when they pull up into a historic IED route to repeat their stuff which may have worked the first time? Is anyone doing autopsies of the insurgents' bodies? Snipers, as a class of soldier, tend to be particularly cold-blooded and detached from human emotions. Its one thing to be in a firefight and spraying bullets at anything that moves, its another to wait for hours - and days too - in your hide, waiting for the target to come along. Then you get to see the face of the target as clearly as you can see the face of your sniper buddy, and then you have to pull the trigger knowing full well the target hasn't a clue. As sub-class of snipers, however, Marines tend to be particularly cold-blooded for reasons we will not go into. They absolutely love this kind of hunt, and the insurgents, on their way to heaven, cannot possibly know how happy they're making Marine snipers happy, back on earth. Oh, okay, you brain-dead insurgents. Why is your editor worrying about how you die? Come and and get killed, that's what you want. And at least the snipers are saving the tax payers money with their one-round one kill routine.
Poster Comment: Time for these guys to move to Paris. Jihadis or the Marines?
