No other Republican Presidential candidate has ever received the enthusiastic popular support in the Republican Stronghold of Orange County that Ron Paul received in his visit to Cal State University, Fullerton, on May 3rd, 2012. 6000 enthusiastic fans crowded into the Titan Stadium, which was not designed to hold 6000. The line stretched around the stadium. Seats ran out, but supporters continued to pile in, standing to see their candidate. Mitt Romney has never received that kind of support in Republican Orange County.

And Ron Paul WILL endorse Mittless Romney.

The degree may be debatable, not the outcome. Even a NO endorsement would be a positive.

Santorum wanted promises, Newtie wanted money, prior to endorsing Romney. What will be Pauls price? Nothing? Just walk away with millions of dollars spent from loyal supporters?

My friend, in my early years as an "aware political animal" Ron Paul was the only elected MC that earned the respect of the "filthy ol' tax rebs" and fiercely independent Westerners with who I associated. I was as cynical as the majority about most politicians, Paul being the exception.

So, I don't quite understand why you think he'd pay lip service to American ideals that are nearly lost just for money, when every senator and representative who plays the game stands to amass a fortune while the media, the respective ethics and oversight committees of both houses and their own parties further reward them by keeping the team players' whoring, doping and influence peddling under wraps.

Paul has to live clean and even then they try to make him dance over written comments with which he did not and does not agree that were published in his newsletter 20 years ago.

Paul sure picked a difficult way to rake in the shekels when it would have been a simple matter to open his seine net and let corporations choke it full with tax deductible donations and honoraria.

As you know corporate America (or more precisely, Global Corp LLC) loves to collect politicians like charms on a bracelet. Why would Paul chop his own path through high elephant grass when congress has its own smooth and level Ho Chi Minh trail to carry the boodle off?

I just don't understand your reasons for the things you write.

Really quite simple.

Paul IS NOT IN THIS RACE FOR MONEY.

One has to look elsewhere.

This will be Pauls third and final run for the roses.

All WITHIN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

Ron has been re elected twelve times as a republican, is now running for president as a republican. I accept his statement that he will always be a republican, one wing of this corrupt government.

Norman Thomas I believe ran for president six times, he is but a tiny footnote in the political history of this country.

Wait.... I thought Ron had been a libertarian for decades prior to the switch over to conventional party politics?

Ron Paul is a contradiction in the political arena.

He has pledged his soul to the republican party, many times. That being true, then he is indeed part and parcel of the "system".

This is his third and final go around in politics, thus when the dust settles in November, we will most likely know where he stands vs the system and if he was involved in any deal.

From wiki

Ronald Ernest "Ron" Paul (born August 20, 1935) is an American politician who has been the U.S. Representative for Texas's 14th congressional district, which includes Galveston, since 1997, and a three-time candidate for President of the United States, as a Libertarian in 1988 and as a Republican in 2008 and 2012. _____________________________________________________________________________

He has been a libertarian for decades ,.... honestly he is still a libertarian. Everyone knows this. But where your values lie and what your party affiliation lies need not be the same thing. After so many years of trying to do so much as a libertarian he made a political move... one I never thought I'd see. He became a RINO. To win... and that is awesome to me. He has never ever had a better chance than right here and right now....

and right here and now the system is saying that it is against the rules to vote for ron paul..... one more time ... the other politicians and the media hate ron paul and attempt to smear him for following the rules just while at the same time they attempt subvert the entire idea of democracy by saying voting for Ron Paul is against the rules....WHat rule? the rule of civil society?

We are getting into civil war territory here and his campaign is a good canary in a coal mine.... If the paul camp is not allowed in Tampa for whatever imaginary reason... well.... Then their is no republic ... Any that says otherwise would be a liar.... Their USED TO BE a democratic representative republic know as the united states..... I think it died long ago.... Ron Paul wants to save it... if anyone can might be the only one...otherwise I mean what happened in maine was not democracy....nor was it uncommon. THAT IS A BIG PROBLEM! Still Paul came out on top while the romeny camp are now sueing over the paul win there.....despite all the cheating.

Paulll......he is a libertarian... I did not always support him... I used to be very opposed to him. These days...he can do no worse than anyone else.... in fact compare him to all others... IS obama better? How about ROmmney? THink Bush was better? Perhaps you like Kerry? Maybe your a chris christi fan...I am not. I am a Paul fan... I compare Paul to them all and none measure up. Nobody is perfect but he is the epitome of a good public servant. Newt and mit traded barbs about who was a better career politician during the debates.... Somehow that kind of BS came up... like we want another career politician in office. Paul is not that. He remains what the others are supposed to be....

An elected volunteer working for the public interest.
