As per Drudge, RP just quit the race. I was taken yet again.

Cyni, this is directed to you. You nailed it from the get go, and I got suckered.

I bow to you and accept my heaping portion of crow served anyway you care to deliver it to me.

Cynicom was right, Ron Paul is a royal turd

When the SHTF and the economy crashes who's the establishment going to pin it on?

I thought Ron Paul and the "Libertarians" would be a perfect fit.

He is not out, he is changing strategy according to his resources, and may just get to be the donkey the elites try to pin the tail on.

Keep posted, it ain't over till it's over. If he does win the recovery will be swift, the austerity short, and there will be a new era of prosperity.

The elites, think they have this one figured out, but they are relying on Keynesian thinking, to pin it on Paul, this is getting very interesting.

Cynicom, was that you on Newsweak with that rainbow halo??

Yeah, this might be valid but nevertheless no less painful. We are leaderless.

We are leaderless.

Speaking for myself, I'm not looking for a leader. I don't need to be led, especially by a politician. I'm looking for someone who will look out for the interests of me and my family by upholding the Constitution of the United States in such a way that the government leaves me the hell alone and allows me to live my life with the least amount of intrusion possible.

I get that H, but tactically, I see zero sense in today's announcement. He was on all the state ballots, and his strategy of delegate accumulation was creeping along, albeit slowly. Why????? announce it's over before Tampa???? Had he simply kept his yap shut he certainly would have garnered more delegates then he will now. I smell the stench of politics. I wish I felt differently.

Good question. In the announcement it was stated that he did not have the funds to continue in the primary states. I assume that means he isn't going to spend money on advertising in those states or campaigning throughout those states. If that is the case then surely the media would notice. This may have been nothing more than Ron Paul being upfront and honest instead of being sneaky and hoping no one noticed. Hell, who knows how the media would twist that.

Then again, maybe he's been a plant for the last 40 years. If so, then he should receive an academy award because he's bamboozled tens of millions of people.

Maybe I am a rube like others have said but I trust the man. I've been reading his writings since the early 80's. He's walked the walk of his talk as far as I am concerned. When he does things (like this) that I don't understand, then I give him the benefit of the doubt for the simple reason that I think that he truly is a good, decent human being who has the best interests of this country and its people in mind. I'm not a Christian or religious at all but when I think of what a Christian SHOULD be, I think of Ron Paul, as foolish as that may be.

We been so well bamboozled in our lifetimes that it's impossible to know a public man in whom you can invest your trust with absolute certainty, but I have the same feeling about RP.

I really think he has gone as far as a man can go in the name of liberty without being Wellstoned.

No, but the Banksters/Psychs got to him somehow. They found a way 4 years ago to own him.

Very good.

Jethro, two others and myself have been discussing this possibility for quite some time. In fact for years.
