North Carolina Pastor: Pen In ‘All The Lesbians And Queers’ With An Electrified Fence, Wait For Them To ‘Die Out’

By Annie-Rose Strasser on May 21, 2012 at 1:40 pm

Charles Worley

North Carolina Pastor Charles Worley shared with his congregation this weekend how he thinks the country should deal with the scourge of gay men and lesbians: Lock them into a pen with an electrified fence, drop food down to them, and because they can’t reproduce, they will die out.

The Pastor’s leper colony-esque proposal came in response to the president’s endorsement of same-sex marriage, which he said “anybody with any sense” would be against. Worley explained that the idea of two men kissing makes him “pukin’ sick,” so he developed a proposal to “get rid of all the lesbians and queers”:

WORLEY: I figured a way out — a way to get rid of all the lesbians and queers. But I couldn’t get it passed through Congress. Build a great big large fence, 150 or 100 miles long. Put all the lesbians in there. Fly over and drop some food. Do the same thing with the queers and the homosexuals. Have that fence electrified so they can’t get out. Feed ‘em, and– And you know what? In a few years they’ll die out. You know why? They can’t reproduce.

Watch it:

These comments are in line with other anti-gay religious leaders in the state, like Sean Harris, who said parents should “crack” their children’s “limp wrist.” Harris walked back his statements, but Worley emphasized in his speech that he did, in fact, “mean to say that.” Tags:

I wonder how much gays had to pay this man to say that? It is true they can't reproduce, but there is always new ones still. Just like there are always new: adulterers, fornicators, liars, and murderers.

There are some folks out there who hate because that is what they have been taught.

I hate because I have thought it through.

I figure it this way: A fence 100 miles long means it encloses a square 25 miles on a side = 625 square miles (any other configuration is less area). Estimating a US gay/lesbian population of a mere two million (which I think we'd all agree is a very low estimate), that would be a density of 3,200 people per square mile. That's not particularly dense but it would appear this guy isn't planning on building any housing or apartments for them, no electricity, no plumbing, no visitors, no hospitals, etc. So this is a couple of notches BELOW the accommodations of the Warsaw Ghetto.

His talk of dropping food in this concentration camp highlights the fact that normal commerce and infrastructure is not in the cards. He expects that all the gays and lesbian "will die out in a few years". Under such hardships an early death might be likelier but some of them might be remarkably durable (especially since lesbians do not seem to be plagued with STDs). What if this guy becomes impatient waiting for them all to die? Will he stop dropping food, or will he build crematoria?

Of course, once all the gays and lesbians are penned up, there won't be any more in the real world. It's not as if anyone was ever born that way or became that way growing up among heteros. And, yes, those people in the concentration camp cannot reproduce; after all, you've never heard of a lesbian arranging for artificial insemination, have you?

Homosexuals reproduce. I knew one woman couple who liked one male friend and felt he was a good candidate to donate seed at the doctor's office and the wife half of the couple got pregnant with their first child. They now have three.

Eugene, OR where I live is an enclave of a great deal of lesbians, many of them in domestic relationships and in privately owned homes.

Most of the kids I have known from such unions are heterosexual, as homosexuality is an inherent characteristic, not a learned or recruited to that sort of relationship sort of thing.

Many gay men also have kids as they will try to escape who they are and wind up getting married or a woman pregnant before they realize the futility of that sort of mismatch and move on to a more appropriate partner for them.

Right, homosexuality is as natural to some people as fornication is to others. It still doesn't make it either of them right. Many homos have changed and are no longer homos. It isn't impossible. Those that hate people because they are gay are wrong and probably very hypocritical since they probably are fornicators and adulterers.

Yep....should be considered; little too much 'protesteth' there, trying to expunge some guilt.

If any segment of the population could be treated this way the prevailing party in power (DEMS & PUBS) would certainly reserve such awesome power for themselves in order to eliminate their political adversaries.

In short, if they can do it to them they can and would do it to us.

I know for a fact that several politicians despise me as much or more than any people who live alternative lifestyles but leave elected officials and bureaucrats alone.

And, the good pastor should remember the axiom that, "any proposed law should be viewed in its worst possible light because history teaches us that this is the likely outcome. (LIONS 9-CHRISTIANS 0)
