Weekend Edition May 21, 2012 Coast Insider Audio 9-11: Truth & Enigmas

On Sunday night with John B. Wells, publisher and investigative writer Sander Hicks discussed his journey to shed light on the official story of 9/11, as part of the grassroots truth movement that has sprung up in the last decade. He characterized the search for truth, and struggle for justice as a kind of "David and Goliath" story, pitting truth seekers against a massive US war machine. Just after the 9-11 attacks, the country was whipped up into a frenzy of hatred against the Muslim population, even though there was never any real proof that bin Laden and al Qaeda were behind the attacks, Hicks asserted. The real terrorists are the financial elite-- "white collar terrorists who are ruling the country from behind closed doors," and fabricated the events for the sake of war, he continued.

The "Bush-Cheney-Obama" official story about 9-11 is false, Hicks argued. He cited the case of whistle-blower David M. Graham, a Shreveport dentist who met two of the "so-called" 9/11 hijackers (whom Hicks considers patsies) 10 months before 9-11, and warned the FBI about them. The FBI told him to look the other way, and after the attacks occurred, he continued to speak out and planned to publish a book about what he knew. But, in 2004, he was mysteriously poisoned while traveling alone in East Texas. Hicks also presented information about Wolfgang Bohringer who claimed to befriend the hijacker Mohammed Atta. Later, Bohringer revealed that he worked for the CIA.

Hicks also recounted incidents with such people as Rudolph Giuliani, Eliot Spitzer, and Dick Cheney that suggest they knew more about the 9-11 attacks than they let on. Additionally, Hicks detailed his founding of the Truth Party, which offers a vision for a future United States that rejects secrecy and imperialism, and embraces non-violence.

On Saturday's show with John B. Wells, attorney Jonathan Emord discussed the corrupt relationship between the FDA and 'Big Pharma'. "Without question the FDA's system for drug approval is broken and results in horrific consequences both when it approves drugs and when it denies terminally-ill patients access to drugs," he stated. The FDA plays favorites with large pharmaceutical companies, Emord continued, citing the example of a Sanofi-Aventis drug called Ketek that was approved even after it had been revealed the primary clinical trials were entirely made up. Perhaps even worse than approving potentially unsafe drugs, the FDA often denies patients access to promising experimental treatments. A drug called Gleevec was found effective in treating Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia yet the FDA denied, and essentially condemned to death, thousands of patients, Emord said... cont.

I listened to part of that interview Sunday night before falling asleep. I was able to listen to the rest of it HERE on you tube.

In fact, there is a complete archives of C2C shows at the Conspiracy Vault

Wells and Hicks also talked about Army Reserve Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer, author of the book "Operation Dark Heart". As some of you may recall, 9,500 copies of the book were bought by The Pentagon and burned.

The two also discussed the death of James Hatfield, author of the book Fortunate Son: George W. Bush and the Making of an American President and how his reported death may not have been suicide.

All in all, one of the better show's I've heard on Coast to Coast.

It seems to me that the show is stepping outside the box more and more now with George Noory and especially with John B. Wells.

I have the show on archive, so I'll listen this week. I find Wells excellent. He is much more in touch with the material we discuss than is Noory (who isn't bad).

I agree. While Noory has introduced a lot of important topics, I get the feeling that there are certain subjects is afraid to touch.

Wells does a much better job of asking questions too. I'd like to hear him more often than just Saturday and the occasional Sunday nights.

Tatarewicz: Well you know what happened to Helen Thomas:

Israel's U.S. envoy: Award to Helen Thomas shows Palestinians aren't ready for peace By Natasha Mozgovaya | Apr.02,2012 | 4:58 PM | 13

Nearly two years have passed since the long time journalist Helen Thomas was forced to resign after making anti-Semitic comments on camera. Since then, Thomas has been the subject of fierce criticism from both ends of the American political spectrum and from her fellow journalists. But on Sunday, she received an award - an honor from none other than Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

In May 2010, Thomas, a senior White House writer, was asked for her opinion of Israel. “Tell them that they need to get out of Palestine, and return home to Germany, Poland, and America,” Thomas responded on camera.

As a result of her comment, an onslaught of public criticism forced Thomas to apologize and retire. Shortly after her retirement, however, Thomas claimed she said “exactly what she thought.” As a result of the comments, the Society of Professional Journalists decided to discontinue the yearly lifetime achievement award bearing Thomas’ name.

It seems, however, that there is in fact someone who sees Thomas and her comments in a more positive light. On Sunday, dozens of diplomats and journalists assembled in Washington for an event in her honor. The man responsible for organizing the event was none other than the head of the Palestine Liberation Organization General Mission to the U.S., Maen Areikat.

Representatives of the PLO in Washington released a statement claiming that the text of the prize was written to “recognize Thomas’ long career in the field of journalism, during which she defended the Palestinian position every step of the way.”

The event was also attended by PLO Executive Committee member Hanan Ashrawi, who presented the medal to Thomas, bestowing upon her the honor said to have come from Abbas himself. According to the Washington PLO office’s statement, Ashrawi “presented Thomas with the appreciation and blessing of the president and the Palestinian people, for all of her actions supporting Palestine in the West.”

Three months ago, Thomas, aged 91, granted an interview to CNN, her first after a long period of silence following the events that caused the embarrassing end to her career. She did not repeat her previous comments, though she blamed the Zionist lobby in Washington for distorting her comments.

“Everything is distorted, but I don’t care,” said Thomas. “You have organized lobbyists in favor of Israel. You can’t open your mouth. I can call the president of the U.S. anything in the book, but you say one thing about Israel and you’re off limits.”

When asked if she had any regrets, Thomas explained, “I have regrets that everybody has misinterpreted it, and distorted it. You have [former White House Press Secretary] Ari Fleischer and [President of the Anti-Defamation League] Abe Foxman distorting everything.”
