While the media-anointed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has begun campaigning against President Obama, Ron Paul continues his near stealth-like overtake of Republican delegates in state after state, highlighted this weekend by his campaign’s victory in Minnesota.

Just last week, the Ron Paul camp released a memo saying they would not be campaigning in the states that have yet to hold its primaries. The national media took this as a concession of the GOP nominee to Mitt Romney, but those close to the campaign say it was anything but.

It has been known that Ron Paul and his grassroots supporters have been attempting to take as many delegates as possible, even after a state’s primary has been held. The Ron Paul campaign’s stance appears to be unless a delegate has officially given their vote at a state’s convention, their vote is still up for grab.

This weekend, Ron Paul personally attended the Minnesota GOP convention held in St. Cloud, Minn. The result: Paul took 12 of 13 available delegates bringing his total in Minnesota to 32 out of 40 delegates overall.

“This is one of the greatest states that I have witnessed, where I have seen the transition, where the enthusiasm’s there,” exclaimed Paul to hundreds of activists at the Minnesota convention.

In addition, Paul took votes in Romney’s home state of Michigan, as well as Vermont and Virginia.

“Victories in Minnesota and other states demonstrate that Ron Paul supporters possess the adaptability, organizational muscle, and unmatched enthusiasm required to continue winning delegates in upcoming contests,” stated Ron Paul’s 2012 National Campaign Manager John Tate.

Tate continued, “We’re also pleased to see Ron Paul supporters engaged in party-building to broaden the activist and voting base that will advance Republican majorities for many years to come.”

Minnesota’s Star Tribune wrote an article detailing the weekend’s convention and the controversial political movement that Ron Paul’s campaign is fueling within the established Republican party. The report also contains a video report from St. Cloud – site of the convention.

Below is a video from Ron Paul supporters giving an idea of what they feel is being missed in the mainstream media: Ron Paul’s actual support and delegate count.

Convention time, odds Ron Paul and Oromney swap wet kisses and big smoochies all around.

Yes, and it will be willard sucking up to Paul.

Sir Lod...

Right you are...

Oromney is dead in the water without Paul.

Paul goes negative, Oromney will have spent millions for nothing

Paul goes neutral, Oromney MIGHT stagger to a win over Obongo.

Paul goes for smoochies, Oromney wins, Obongo the black takes a one way trip home to , Kenya.

Why is it that not ONE of the bums in D.C. elected to represent their constituents have heretofore questioned buttwheat's intentions with his robbing of the treasury, his bowing to those in other countries, his support of the Occupied movement, and his allowing the Union heads to run all over the Whitehouse? Am I the only one who sees what these bastards are up to? I can't believe others here don't see it.

Why can't Ron Paul bring himself to identifying what is going on? Are we all going to sit here and watch the bastards take over our sovereignty? I can't believe I live in America ... at least not the America I was born into.

Why can't Ron Paul bring himself to identifying what is going on?

Remember, Ron has always maintained he is a loyal republican, til the day he dies.

Accepting that, one must at least allow that there is a chance he has, or will, make a deal with Oromney.

No deal, Rons son is a one term Senator and gone.

How many times must you be reminded of Dr. Paul's run as a Libertarian before you stop repeating this "loyal republican" bull crap?

A deal with Oromney means losing the base...it isn't going to happen.

Dont you just hate it when there is one Rube that wont go with the flow????

I do tho try to be polite and respectful.

If I stop with the bull crap, who will project a differing point of view? Dull discussion when everyone is in lockstep, in total agreement, with always the very remote possibility that there are two sides to the issue?

This weekend, Ron Paul personally attended the Minnesota GOP convention held in St. Cloud, Minn. The result: Paul took 12 of 13 available delegates bringing his total in Minnesota to 32 out of 40 delegates overall.

Excerpt from policymic.com article, Will Ron Paul Force Mitt Romney Into a Debate:

After Ron Paul spoke in Sparks, Nevada, earlier this month, observers took note of Mitt Romney supporters crumpling up their Romney signs and vowing to vote for Paul. It was the first time many Republican activists had ever heard Paul speak outside of the several minutes of sound bites allotted to him during televised debates.

The Paul campaign's recent announcement that he has doubled down on its delegate strategy has made it increasingly likely that Ron Paul will appear at an increased number of state conventions this year. Republican state conventions, such as Minnesota's this past weekend, are increasingly making their way onto Paul's busy speaking schedule.

As an example, this weekend Paul spoke to an estimated 2,000 Republicans at the Minnesota Republican Convention in St. Cloud. Later in the convention, Republican National Committeeman Jeff Johnson spoke words of unity and praise, perhaps indicative of Paul's ability to win the hearts and minds of the Republican Party. Recent analysis has even shown that Paul has seen his base double.

I do not mind any differing point of view, but the repetition of Dr. Paul as a party line Republican is dishonest given his consistent votes against the party line and the two party fraud with his lone votes in the wilderness. When the toadies on the left AND the right are clammering to vote to give this nation and the Constitution the shaft, Dr. Paul votes for liberty and the constitution.

You have a plethora of party line republicans to paste that label on Cyni. Why must you continue to paste it where it doesn't stick?

Now AB stop being cantankerous over parsing of words.

I have only Rons record and his words. He was elected twelve times as a, "REPUBLICAN". He has stated over and over he is a republican, if it quacks like a pub, waddles like a pub, I suspect it is a pub.

Now if you see a greyhound, not a pub, one of us needs new glasses.

AB...

Bush candidate Santorum came cheap, he begged for promises, Oromney promised he would forget who Santorum was, Santorum ENDORSED.

Newtie, demanded money, Oromney said he would see if he could help with Newties campaign debts. Newtie donned his kneepads and endorsed.

Paul threw in the towel but asked for nothing, just riding the wave on the cheap to the convention. Newtie and Santorum had nothing with which to barter, they get to lick the platter.

The question, will Paul cut a deal prior to the convention or will he make Oromney sweat blood until the last gavel?????

They can put on a big show at the convention for the benefit of the rubes but then after the lights go out, comes the hard part winning an election. Oromney will have to heap up a basket of goodies for anyone that can help him.

This is where I say to bug the Paulites, there will be wet kisses and smoochies all round. hehehehehehe
