In fact, they have intentionally made themselves obstacles to a free-and-open inquiry of the facts. But, it was pointed out to me by a wise man that I overlooked an 11th reason for this eligibility myopia. Sometimes often, in fact there is a spiritual aversion to the truth. This will sound crazy to unbelievers out there, but, as Paul said to the Ephesians,
we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The Bible tells us that we are not necessarily the originators of our own thoughts. As we are told in 2 Corinthians 4:4:
the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Sometimes God even blinds men to the truth, as we learn in 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12: And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Some Americans do seem to be unable to see the truth all around them believing instead, despite the abundant evidence, in manmade climate change, that killing babies in the womb can liberate mothers, that evolution can explain the origins of life and all its diversity, that men can marry men and women can marry women, in borrowing our way out of debt, in the power of the state to provide them with the necessities of life at no cost, and other fairy tales. As 2 Timothy 4:3-4, puts it: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. Isaiah knew a time like this: None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Jeremiah, in his day, knew it, too: And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak Hosea knew it, too:
for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. Let me ask a simple question: Based solely on what we have learned about Obama in recent days that he himself was the original birther, claiming for 16 years at least to have been born in Kenya and for the last five years denying it can anyone honestly say he is a man of truth? Can anyone honestly say that those who defend his deceptions at all costs are concerned about truth? 2 Timothy 3:1-7 seems to describe a time like this one: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. What do we have to fear from the truth? Whats wrong with the pursuit of truth? John records, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. I believe that. But some fear the truth and thats the 11th reason some people discourage its pursuit. This is a great summary of it. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top Page Up Full Thread Page Down Bottom/Latest Begin Trace Mode for Comment # 10.

Actuslly the big reason I find the issue a moot one is because Obama was born in Hawaii. 'Nuff said.
Nuff said? According to the "Birth Certificate" he released, his daddy was Kenyan. That little detail alone in the Constitution is enough to disqualify him.
No,you are wrong. The Constitution talks about where the person running is born, not his or her parents.
> The relevant constitutional provision, Article II, Section I, Clause 4 (the presidential eligibility clause), states that: No Person except a natural born Citizen or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States. Although the Constitution does not go on to define a natural born Citizen, the term is understood to mean a person born in the United States or born abroad to parents who are both American citizens. In Obamas case, his father was not an American citizen. It's the "understanding" portion of the issue that must be defined by the Supreme Court, in a clear and concise manner. Which, unfortunately, the "Politicians" currently sitting on the Court will not do. So this matter will continue to be divisive, and subject to individual interpretation. >
Unless you have case law where the SCOTUS has ruled this way in our legal system under Stare decisis, what you say is moot and non-binding.
