National Organization for Marriage (NOM) spokesperson Jennifer Roback Morse appeared on head of the Southern Baptist Convention Richard Lands radio talk show Richard Land Live! on Sunday. Right Wing Watch reports that together with Land, Morse decried the influence of LGBT people on our culture and said that acceptance of LGBT people in our society will ultimately lead to a pagan world where people worship sex as sacramental.
Land, who is currently under investigation by the Southern Baptist Conventions Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission for heated remarks he made regarding the Trayvon Martin case, welcomed Morse and thanked a caller who praised him for fighting this demon of homosexuality.
My comment is that I thank God for you all for standing up for Gods holiness and righteousness against this demon of homosexuality, said the caller, My pastor past but he once said that this demon will be the last one to leave this earth because it is so strong and over in all of the New Testament and coming up to now its
Let me just say that first of all, Land said, cutting the caller off, that the Devil takes pleasure in anything that causes destruction in human society and the homosexual lifestyle does cause destruction. Its seen as one of the evidences in the decline of every empire we have seen; studies have shown it became rampant in the Persian Empire, the Greek Empire, the Roman Empire, the British Empire.
Land and Morse claimed to be ranged against a secular theocracy that seeks to instill full-blown pagan values in our society.
I mean totally focused on self, anything that feels good do it, Land said, just like the Greco-Roman orgies of the 1st Century and 2nd Century AD; same thing that our early Christian forefathers faced.
Thats very true, agreed Morse, the hedonism, the hedonistic aspect of the culture. What I wondered you were going to say is full-on paganism I would think of as somehow worshiping sex, as sex taking on a kind of sacramental role.

NOM came under fire earlier this year when strategy documents leaked that detailed a race-baiting plan for dividing Democrats and undermining support on the left for LGBT people and same sex marriage. Presumptive Republican nominee and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is among the organizations top tier donors, giving $10,000 to the organization in 2008.
