My synopsis: What's this about? Sony's protected audio CD's requires that a "driver", named a "rootkit" because it is not seen by the Windows operating system as a program or a process, be installed in order to play the CD, and it can only be played with Sony's installed player. I've read that Apple MACs don't have this resriction; I can't confirm this.
There is no easy way to remove the "protection" contrary to Sony's claims.
Italy has declared this software as spyware under their law.
