Pam Anderson Jets into London From Malibu Mansion With New Message: Be Less consuming and More Protective of the Earth.
This is all so surreal, i have to admit to wondering if this isnt actually some elaborate Onion style spoof . . .
Celebrity Pamela Anderson, famous for, er, Baywatch, has joined the fight against global warming and is in London to warn us of the consequences if we dont tighten our belts and change our ways.
In an interview with the Sun newspaper she explained how she was so tired of talking about my boobs and boyfriends and had been looking for something more serious to discuss. She credits her conversion to a manifesto on climate change from Sixties fashion designer, Vivienne Westwood (a manifesto on climate change from someone who sells dresses? This just gets better and better). Anderson read the manifesto whilst on a modelling photo shoot and decided she now wanted to help save the world.
Anderson had jetted across the Atlantic from her new eco-mansion in Malibu, not far from Al Gores beach house. She also has a large home in her native Vancouver, and her and her family frequently fly between them, living in either one of the two massive, palatially appointed eco-homes.
And after stepping off the jet in London, Anderson had a message for us, one she had gleaned from chats with her climate change campaigner friend, Vivienne Westwood. We had to stop consuming so much and get used to getting by with less if we were serious about saving the planet. She said she understood that such sacrifices would be painful for many, but that pain and doing without was necessary:
With a zeal that sounds more appropriate coming from a student radical, she adds: We have to start prioritising and a lot of it has to do with being less consuming and more protective of the earth. I understand that everyone is hurting but sometimes when you take a leap of faith and you do the right thing, everything else falls into place.

Anderson ended the interview with the invitation to the reporter to use me to spread the word about global warming. She is now understood to be in an intensive twelve week educational program aimed at helping her understand the word Ironic.
