Mitt Romney Does Not Like It When His Neighbors Smoke Pot On The Beach Grace Wyler | Jun. 7, 2012, 1:40 PM | 671 | 4

mitt romney beach mansionMitt Romney is not very popular with his oceanside neighbors, according to a story in today's New York Times investigating how the Republican presidential hopeful fits in with his fellow La Jolla residents.

Between the Secret Service detail and the massive renovation on Romney's $12 million beach house, it's not hard to see why the candidate is having a hard time making friends.

To make matters worse, Romney reportedly has a habit of demanding that his neighbors quit smoking pot on the beach.

Times reporter Michael Barbaro writes:

"A young man in town recalled that Mr. Romney confronted him as he smoked marijuana and drank on the beach last summer, demanding that he stop.

The issue appears to be a recurring nuisance for the Romneys. Mr. Quint, who lives on the waterfront near Mr. Romney, said that a police officer had asked him, on a weekend when the candidate was in town, to report any pot smoking on the beach. The officer explained to him that “your neighbors have complained,” Mr. Quint recalled. “He was pretty clear that it was the Romneys.” Now check out photos of Romney's California beach mansion > See Also

I have the feeling that there won't be any pot at the La Jolla beach if Mittens becomes prez. Call it a psychic premonition.

You would be correct, but pharmas allowed no problem.

There is a reason for this fact, I believe.

Anyone want to have a gander why?
