ANYONE who supports someone who wishes to start a war with Iran, and who welcomes the NDAA provision to imprison American citizens (or ANYONE for that matter) without charges or trial, is unfit to serve in ANY government position. Rand must have gotten a very nice "promise" out of the deal, to the detriment of not only his own dad, but for the rest of America. Just like George W. Bush right? LOL! I can see how this will play out already. He will cut the budget by 1% and call it a victory. am grateful for Senator Paul’s support and look forward to working with him to get America back on the right track. While disappointing, it is not surprising. Dr. Paul's son leans towards neoconservative in many of his views. Especially on the subjects of the faux WOT and the apartheid country of Israel. If you mean for Rand in any future election, same here. Hell, I MIGHT even consider voting for Oboingo just to keep Romney out of office. Once again, I'm resonating with your sentiments. "Obama" is a damaged brand. He started out with zero credibility with any kind of a conservative, he hasn't convinced moderates of much of anything, and he hasn't put anything on the table for the Left. In addition, growing doubts about who exactly this character is have proven to be marginally but effectively apparent. Although I am far from traveling in those circles, the elites that have put the man in the position that he occupies must have concluded by now that he is an incompetent. They will want a manager for what is coming, not a Drone King who spends his time smoking Kools in his private lair. I am not naive enough to think that voting for a Romney/Paul ticket will further the cause. It might set up Rand for a run for Pres in the future but it will have to be without my vote.

Politics this time around are interesting. Any person observing the machinations needs to put aside their own bias, or preference. Take a good look at what is going on in the political world. Viewing with a partisan eye skews the real picture of what is happening. All the moves, to and fro, are orchestrated well in advance. Blind allegiance to any politician or party, or movement, is self destructive.

That's why I don't believe in organized religions. I find that some universal truths might be found in Buddhism and perhaps other more esoteric spiritual beliefs, but the Abrahamic religions are mostly contradictory and based on fantasy, with the followers acting the opposite of what they claim their religion is all about.
