By endorsing Romney, Rand Paul has sold out. He has done serious damage to the Freedom Movement. Or at least to the Ron Paul movement. The freedom movement needs to be bigger than any one man or one family anyway, so perhaps in the long run this is a good thing.

But no doubt, Rand Paul sold out and in my book, by endorsing a demonstrated oath breaker, Rand has also violated his oath. And yes, Romney is a demonstrated oath breaker. He violated his oath when, as governor or Massachusetts, he signed the state version of the so-called "assault weapons" ban, which was a clear violation of the Second Amendment, and Romney also violated it when he signed Romney Care, which was an early version of what has become Obama care,

And worst of all, Romney violated his oath when he supported section 1021 of the NDAA and said he would have signed it, declaring that if you are accused of treason you don't "deserve" normal due process, but should be treated as an enemy combatant under the laws of war - all in direct violation of Article III, and in violation of the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments. Romney is either clueless and doesn't know the Constitution well enough to be fit for public office, or he is willfully violating it. Either way, he is an oath breaker. And Rand's endorsement of Romney is a violation of his own oath. A pox on all their houses.

This Republic is on the verge of destruction precisely because Republicans have chosen the lesser of two evils (the lesser of two oath breakers) in each election, swallowing principle and pulling the lever for a demonstrated oath breaker each and every time just to try and keep a Democrat from winning.

When you take a slightly reduced dose of poison, say 80% poison instead of 100%, you are still poisoning yourself, and you will still die. This Republic has been subjected to a reduced dose of poison over and over, for decades, and is now about to die. And yet, the GOP bigwigs offer us yet another dose of slightly reduced poison and the great majority of the Republican rank and file are all too happy to open wide and swallow it down. And now Rand Paul joins in. You vote for an oath breaker, you become one. Either stand for all of the Constitution, all of the time, against anyone of any party, or stop pretending, and burn your damn Oath Keepers card. And then just join the ranks of the oath breakers.

The NDAA is a deal breaker. It is intolerable. It is the death knell of this Republic if it is not stopped. Anyone who would strip you of your right to jury trial, for which your forefathers bled and died, is a traitor and an enemy of this Republic. Anyone who would subject you and your children to arbitrary imprisonment, to military trial, to rendition to ANY foreign nation or ANY foreign entity, or who thinks the President has a legitimate power to just order you killed by a Predator drone if HE thinks you are a terrorist, anyone who supports that view, is a traitor and a modern Tory. He is your enemy.

And Romney and Obama both hold that view. I don't give a flying *&@#% if Romney is supposedly "not as bad as Obama." He supports the destruction of the Bill of Rights in the name of fighting terrorism. Both of them are my enemy. Both are enemies of the American Revolution and all that came from it.

It's like being given a false choice between Stalin and Hitler, with so-called conservatives urging you to vote for the fascist to keep the communist out of office. "Vote for Hitler or Stalin will win!" I won't do it. No sir. I will fight them both, or either one.

Political parties are like a cancer that is now killing the host. Republicans, with all too few exceptions, are loyal to party first, not country first, and certainly not the Constitution first.

I challenge anyone to explain why a vote for Romney is not a violation of your oath, now that it is clear he supports the application of the laws of war on Americans, and supports military detention and military trial rather than trial by jury. Go for it. Anyone. Lesser of two evils? Is that what your oath was? Your oath was not "I will support and defend the Republican Party." Nor was it "I will support and defend the Constitution by voting for the lesser of two evil oath breakers."

It is now very clear that the small window we had for a political solution at the national level has been slammed shut by the GOP leadership by forcing on us yet another oath breaker. Last time it was JOhn McCain - who went on to author Section 1021 of the NDAA which is a declaration of war on the American people. Now it is Romney, who also supports it. As did Allan West, Rubio, and a bunch of other "Tea Party" freshmen. The GOP has utterly failed to field true constitutionalists. It has turned its back on the Constitution and thrown away a chance to stop the destruction of our Republic.

Now, all we have left is nullification and civil disobedience. And that includes nullification at the individual, town, Sheriff, County, and state levels and within the military, as individual service members, units, and branches. in the time we have left before the crap hits the fan, we should focus on direct outreach to the current serving with base tours and billboards, and on outreach to veterans in our local communities to get as many of them woken up and ready as possible. And focus on nullification from the individual cop, to the Sheriff, to the state governor and legislature. And get prepared yourself, with mutual aid in your community. And as for elections, the only ones worth the energy are local, local, local. Sheriff races are worth your time, to get in a good constitutional sheriff, like the good ones in Sheriff Mack's organization (CSPOA.org). County Commissioner races matter. To a lesser extent, state legislature and governor matter (I say lesser because your odds of getting a constitutionalist majority in the stat legislature are slim, and the odds of a constitutionalist governor even slimmer).

All else is a waste of time, in my book. We are running out of time, and I now am convinced that we will have to have another Revolution to secure liberty for our children. We are now in the lead up to it, and all we can do is wake more people up so they join the side of the patriots rather than the modern Tories, and then get as ready as we can within our local communities, while outreaching to the guys with the guns so as many of them will be on our side as possible when it kicks off. The GOP has failed to fix it politically, and are placing us on the short track to having to fight a revolution. They had a chance to do the right thing, but blew it.

I sure am glad you posted this article, it has already come in handy! I received an email this morning from someone named Andrea Saul who is the National Press Secretary, Romney for President. And of course she was asking for contributions. I used much of this article to reply to her and, fwiw, here is the email I just sent.

Hi Andrea. I understand that you would like for me to give money and whatever support I could to Governor Romney. But you are asking me to vote for someone who, like Obama, has repeatedly violated the oath he has had to take to serve--as Governor in Mr. Romney's case (I am assuming that all who win a political office take an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic). I don't say it with any animosity or ill will but I cannot, in good conscience, support anyone for any position in government who is a "repeated oath breaker."

How has Governor Romney violated his oath? Did he not, as Governor, sign the state version of the so-called "assault weapons" ban which is a clear violation of the second amendment? And what about Romney Care, an early version of what has become Obama Care?

He supported section 1021 of the NDAA and said he would have signed it, declaring that if you are accused of treason you don't "deserve" normal due process, but should be treated as an enemy combatant under the laws of war - all in direct violation of Article III, and in violation of the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments. If Governor Romney actually believes that his support for the things I have mentioned is not violative of his oath then his understanding of the Constitution is much different than mine. For whatever it's worth, and I think I have made it clear enough, I don't support Obama either and for the same reasons plus one more--I don't think he is even qualified to serve as President and at any rate has proven to be a disaster.

Sincerely,

Thank you kindly. I want the bought-and-paid-for establishment clowns and goons to know that some of us are onto their game and have been for some time. I will do whatever I can to defeat any of them who pretend to know and respect the Constitution and then use it to wipe their feet on. Or, as another old friend said about FDR one time, "He tore the Constitution to pieces and cast it out the windows of the White House." And what few scraps of it were left have since been cast to the winds by people who seemed to believe he was some kind of hero.

I post this often...

Back in the 1930s, FDR kept repeating the refrain that, "I will never draft American boys to fight in any foreign war".

To which my Father would yell, "you lying SOB". He also was a minority as most thought FDR was our savior.

Some of us were indeed awake.

It's a good thing that at least some people aren't tv addicted ninnies who actually believe the promises of politicians. Not that I don't want watch tv, I do watch it some. But if the thing tore up or for whatever reason I couldn't watch it anymore I don't think I would have very severe withdrawal pains.
