A video of a bunch of verbally abusive middle school bullies making a 68 year old bus monitor cry has gone viral all over the Internet. This video is a perfect example of the social decay that is destroying this nation. We are raising a generation of young people that do not have respect for anyone or anything. In the video, 68 year old Karen Klein is repeatedly called poor, fat, ugly and a whole bunch of other things that I cannot repeat in this space. The bullies refer to "her sweat" and "her flab" over and over throughout the ten minute video. They call her a troll and an elephant and make numerous sexual comments about her. This video is beyond horrifying, but the truth is that this is the kind of thing that happens in classrooms and in school buses all over America every single day. If you have not seen it yet, you have got to see this incredibly disturbing video....
The good news is that a campaign has been started to send Karen Klein on vacation. After dealing with those kids, she sure could use one. The original goal was to raise $5,000, but close to a quarter of a million dollars was raised in less than 24 hours. [$305,000 now]
So perhaps there are still some kind-hearted people out there.
Sadly, this video of kids making a 68 year old bus monitor cry is not an isolated incident. The reality is that America is raising an entire generation of cold-hearted children that lack discipline.
One very interesting recent study found that societies that believe in hell have a lower crime rate than societies that do not. Perhaps if the kids in the video above were made aware that there are serious consequences for treating others very badly they may not behave like that.
Damn, for 300k I'll volunteer to get teased on a bus. :-)
I saw an update on this story tonight and the father of one of the boys was on tv. he said he was very shocked and disappointed in his son. and the news also claimed that someone posted their home address all over the internet and that they were recieving death threats.
my reaction to that was not one of pity but rather, anusement. well, the little degenrate can dish it out, now lets see if he can take it.
the type of person who tries to threaten and taunt weak innocents deserves 10X what they dish out, IMO.
There are huge stretches of closed stores around. If the rest of the rust/snow belt cities are like that, and I'm hearing that they are, it's not good.
There's a hot new franchise here in Ft. Wayne called "Available". Another real up & comer is "For Lease".
Here in the hills everything is booming, due to the huge new gas field being exploited. We have more new millionaires every day.
New stores, new professional businesses, on and on. The only unemployed are those that will not work.
All the big oil companies and foreign countries are here with billions to spend. They spend millions for land that one could not give away five years ago.
Shell has purchased one property but refuse to say for what reason. Best prospect is for a petro chemical plant.
We use to have one train a week, now we have two or more per day every day, hauling in sand from Utah and water from wherever they can get it.
Sand here comes from Utah and one other state out west. Just any sand will not do.
Sixty carloads go by here twice a day. The operation goes on 24/7 without stopping. Near me a company is building a recycle plant for what is left after the fracking. It is a multi million dollar operation. It is estimated they will be here at least for seven years, so hard times are not here for a change.
Back to the topic: the really, really sad thing about this elder-abuse is the fact that she has to be doing this sort of work at this stage of her life.
